PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                 Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Thursday presented the Staff of Office to the newly Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, at the Sagamu Stadium. The self-titled “lord” and new girlfriend,   Sofia Richie , turned heads as they headed out on a date with a camera crew in tow on Thursday night. The couple was seen arm-in-arm at an art exhibition by Alec Monopoly and David Yarrow at the   Art Basel   cocktail hour presented by   Haute Living   and Maddox Gallery in Miami Beach. The onlooker tells newsmen that the couple was affectionate throughout the night, sharing cell phones to take photos. The onlooker added Richie even placed Disick’s phone in his back pocket before giving him a “sweet kiss on the cheek.”. Their arrival – which was complete with an entourage and cameras – caused attendees of the   Haute Living   event to crowd around the couple, the onlooker says.        Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Friday, disclosed that the State Safety Commission has been repositioned to improve service delivery and customer relationships as well as address incidences of avoidable deaths, losses and injuries resulting from ignorance. The Governor, who made the remark at the re-launch of the Lagos State Safety Commission, said the government took the initiative to rebrand and reposition the commission in order to curb incidents of impersonation of the officials and tackle other emerging challenges. According to the Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr. Tunji Bello, "One of the features of this rebranding is the creation of a safety badge of international standard for consultants and staff of the Lagos State Safety Commission who will be the interface between the government and the public." COURT ORDERS FORMER CHIEF JUSTICE OF ENUGU 'INNOCENT UMEZULIKE' TO FORFEIT N50M TO FEDERAL GOVT.{PHOTO}.

          THe Court of Appeal, Enugu Division, has ordered that the former Chief Justice of Enugu State, Justuce Innocent Umezulike forfeits the sum of fifty million naira (N50Million) to the federal government.   In tne judgement delivered on Thursday, December 7, 2017, the court dismissed an appeal filed against the EFCC by the former Chief Judge, challenging the interim forfeiture of the sum in his Zenith Bank account. The court presided over by Honoura ble Justice Ogunwumiju, while dismissing the appeal filed by the former CJ, upheld the argument of Wahab Shittu in favour of EFCC. Umezulike had appealed the order of Justice A. M Liman of the Federal High Court, Enugu in March 2017 forfeiting the fund, following EFCC's application seeking the freezing, seizure and forfeiture of properties linked to the former CJ.
