Strings of red lights now glow across the city, reflecting a slow but meaningful return of Christmas traditions to the historic birthplace of Jesus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. After years of upheaval following the Gaza war, residents say the renewed festivities offer a fragile but welcome sign of relief and resilience. ENFORCEMENT ON SMOKING IN PUBLIC,KICKS OFF IN AUGUST.

           According to sources,the Environmental Protection Agency {LASEPA}said with the effect from 17 August  2014,anybody caught smoking in public places in Lagos state will be arrested and prosecuted.LASEPA will hold a stakeholder's meeting tomorrow May 13 to sensitise people in compliance with the law which banned smoking in all public places in the state.The General manager of LASEPA,Engr Rasheed Shabi said ''When the smoking bill was signed into law by Governor Babatunde Fashola on 17th February 2014,six months grace was given to enable proper sensitization to be carried out before enforcement.With the passage of the law,smokers have been banned from smoking in places such as hospital,eateries,hotels,schools,creche,restaurants,bars,school buses,event centres and book shops.We have engaged hoteliers and told them to creat a place where smokers can smoke,but they can't smoke in public places.

                Accordingto sources,he forgot his Nigerian passport at home and he decided to make use of his US passport.The officer that attended to him drew his attention to the fact that his Us passport had no Nigerian visa on it with which would have been admitted into the country.The officer advised him to go back home to bring his passport.Davido and his body guards started a protest but at the end he was called to order.Read Davido's message below.

             The video that was released today shows that the missing girls are been forcefully converted to islam.About 130 of the girls were shown wearing the full attire of a islam woman.He also claimed they will not be released untill all militant prisoners were freed.

BOKO HARAM OFFERS TO EXCHANGE GIRLS FOR PRISONERS.

           The leader of the Nigerian islamist rebel group Boko Haram has said he will release more school girls abducted by his fighters last month in exchange for prisoners,according to a video seen by France press angency today.Around 100 girls wearing full veils and praying are shown in an undisclosed location in the 17 minute video in which boko haram leader Abobakar Shekau speaks,according to the French news agency.
