PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                       Images from the first rescue helicopters to reach the crash site showed wreckage scattered across hundreds of metres of mountainside,with some debris looking like a size of a car.According to todays report,the Germanwings flight 4 U 9525 were shroud in mystery today after air traffi controllers claimed they received no SOS,despite the jet nosediving 32,000ft in just eight minutes.All 144 passengers and six crew were today presumed dead after the Airbus A320 crashed in a remote region of the French Alps enroute from Spain to Germany.Two babies were among 45 Spanish on board and 16 children from the same school on an exchange trip were among some 100 Germans also feared to have died.Earlier reports quoted aviation sources in France as saying the pilots issued a mayday distress signal and requested an emergency descent minutes before it hit the ground.However,civil aviation authorities later denied that air traffi...

INEC WILL TOMORROW,BRING OUT BALLOT PAPERS FOR SATURDAY POLLS,FROM ALL CBN VAULTS.

                According to the Chief Press Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} Chairman,Mr Kayode Idowu said ''On Wednesday {tomorrow},ballot papers for this saturday's Presidential and National Assembly Elections will be moved from the Central Bank Vaults.All the non sentitive materials have been distributed while the ballot papers have been kept in the vaults of the CBN branches across the country.The Ballot papers for the different positions and locations had been customised in such a way that it would be difficult to be faked by anybody''.The Chairman of  INEC,Prof Attahiru Jega has also revealed that about 56.7 million voter cards had been collected.In a stakeholders meeting hosted by Jega on tuesday,Prof Jega said that the card collected represented about 82% of the registered electorate by the close of distribution ahead of the March 28 election.
