 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT IS SET TO COMMISSION THE 1ST PHASE OF MTR GARDEN CITY IN ISHERI,APRIL 2017.{PHOTOS}.

                        Ogun State Government has affirmed its readiness to commission the first phase of the MTR Garden City in Isheri area of the State by April 2017.Managing Director of Ogun Property and Investment Corporation,OPIC,Mr. Jide Odusolu,confirmed this while speaking to journalists after the inspection tour of the project by the Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun,on Monday.''The garden city has a total of six hundred,2 and 3 bedroom housing units but by April,2017,we'll be commissioning the first phase of the project which has One hundred and fifty units,'' the OPIC M.D revealed. Mr Odusolu explained that the project,when completed,would help to address some of the housing challenges been faced by the people.He added that the housing units would be largely occupied by low and middle income earners. A SUSPICIOUS BOMB PACKAGE MADE POLICE TO SHUT DOWN A BUSY INTERSECTION IN HOLLYWOOD YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                 According to sources,yesterday monday morning,a suspicious package dumped on the high way between Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue,made the police to shut down a busy intersection to enable police to investigate the object.Authorities say an LAPD bomb squad responded to the 6800 block of Hollywood Boulevard at 8:40 am.The investigation concluded around 11:30 am,with police saying that the device turned out to be nothing.  One more photo below.

                          According to sources,fresh reports have emerged that Toyin Aimakhu's ex-boyfriend,Seun Egbegbe has allegedly confessed to stealing iPhones at Computer Village in Lagos State.US trained journalist,Kemi Olunloyo,disclosed that Egbegbe confessed to the crime,saying he steals for a living but covers up with film-making.On her official Facebook page,Madam KOO,as she is fondly called,sid in an audio voice record that, ''We are learning that Seun Egbegbe,the Nollywood film-maker that was arrested last week for allegedly stealing those iPhones,has now confessed to the crime.''A police source at Kirikiri prison is telling me that he {Egbegbe} actually steals for a living.Egbegbe said he steals for a living and covers it up with movie production.What we are leaning now,though from police is that he has not met the bail met and is still waiting for somebody to help pay N2m bail.Well,Egbegbe is now saying he does stealing for a living.We don't know

                 According to sources,following an alleged disagreement with the Nigerian authorities on match expenses,the Egyptian Football Association has cancelled the proposed January 2017 friendly duel with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.The friendly game was scheduled to be played on January 9,2017 in Dubai as Egypt want to use the duel as preparation for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.It was stated that the Egyotians FA said they would not be able to bear all the expenses for the friendly encounter with Nigeria,and they have gone ahead to fix another friendly encounter with Tunisia at the same time they are supposed to face Nigeria.Sources claimed that the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} have demanded that the Egyptian FA should bear all their expenses for the friendly match.Mohammed Sanusi who is the Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation {NFF} explained that the NFF has not received any communication on the match from the Egyptians FA.''Well,I h

                     Ahead of the planned ''Lagos Street Party'' scheduled to hold on the 3rd and 4th December,2016 the Lagos State Government has announced alternatives routes that can be used by motorists.Speaking at a media briefing on the said event,the Acting Commissioner for Transportation,Mr Anofiu Elegushi said traffic would be diverted at the Bishop Oluwole end of Ahmadu Bello Way at Kuramo fall end.He said those participating at the event will have an opportunity to park at the Eko Atlantic while all other motorists will use alternative routes.He stated also that Tiamiyu Savage,Akin Adesola and Bishop Oluwole will be condoned off and will not empty into Ahmadu Bello Way.The alternative routes available include All traffic into the venue or location will be condoned off at Bishop Oluwole with participants parking at the Eko Atlantic premises.For movement further,motorists are to connect to Karimu Kotun and further to Oloosa Street with that journey terminating
