 Atiku Meets Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Saturday paid a visit to former President Goodluck Jonathan at his residence in Abuja. The encounter is their first since Jonathan returned from an election observation mission in Guinea-Bissau. Sharing pictures of the meeting on his verified social media platforms on Sunday, Atiku wrote, “It was a pleasure catching up with former President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday evening, following his recent return from Guinea-Bissau.” Jonathan, who served as President from 2010 to 2015, lost his re-election bid in 2015 to Muhammadu Buhari. The visit comes days after Atiku’s official defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), having resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party over claims that the party had strayed from the principles of its founding fathers. There are indications that Atiku may emerge as the ADC’s presidential candidate for the 2027 general election. One more photo below.

EFCC ASSURES PRO-PATIENCE JONATHAN PROTESTERS OF FAIRNESS AND PROMPT RESPONSE.{PHOTOS}.

              The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,has assured the public of its fairness and readiness to attend to all issues referred to it without any delay.This assurance was given on Thursday by the South-South Zonal Head of Publicc Affairs of the Commission,Mr. Oladele Oyewale while receiving some women protesters who thronged the South-South Zonal Office of the EFCC in Port Harcourt.The women,numbering about 100,stormed the EFCC's office chanting various songs and carrying different placards and banners with inscriptions bearing their grievances.The main thrust of their grievances was that the ''EFCC should release the $15million Patience Jonathan's money without delay''.Some inscriptions on the banners are : ''Please,EFCC,the malady of Mrs Patience Jonathan is of great cooncern to us,come to our aid in Allah's name''.                      Residents of Hanik Street,Federal Housing Estate 3-3 Onitsha,Anambra State were in mournful mood,yesterday,following the death of three men in a borehole.Eyewitnesses said the locally dug borehole developed fault and a young lady,who lived in the building,invited a man to recover the sumo for repairs..Unfortunately,the man got trapped inside the hole while every effort to rescue him failed.''They called for help and a fellow Calabar man went inside to help bring out his kinsman but got trapped as well.Some minutes later,an Hausa man living around the area also volunteered to enter the well to rescue the trapped men,although at the cost of N100,000 which the residents agreed to pay but the man never came out.It would have been four dead bodies because a fourth person entered but he was lucky to come out alive though he complained of receiving a strange slap from the spirits inside the hole.He came out with swolle...
