 Governor Uzodimma Marks His 67th Birthday With a Thanksgiving Service His excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma has marked his 67th birthday celebration with a thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, where he appreciated God for his grace upon himself and his family. The service had in attendance, top government officials, security chiefs, traditional rulers, religious leaders from different denominations, politicians, youths, women groups, friends, family members and numerous well-wishers. In his remarks after the service, Governor Uzodimma called on Imo residents in particular and Nigerians in general to intensify their prayers for the peace, progress and security of Imo State and the country. The governor acknowledged the grace and goodness of God upon himself as a person, while his little twin daughters who share the same birthday date with him, and his entire family, used the occasion to invite the audience to join him in service to the state under his watch ...

OBANIKORO SUMMONED SOUTH AFRICAN HIGH COMMISSIONER,OVER THE XENOPHOBIC ATTACKS ON NIGERIAN CITIZENS.

               Foreign minister Musiliu Obanikoro summoned South African High Commissioner Lulu Mnguni to register Nigeria's protest over the on going Xenophobic attacks against fellow African's in South Africa.In the meeting,Ambassador Obanikoro condemned the attacks on foreigners in South Africa,expressing concern on the fate of Nigerians and indeed of other nationals who are migrants in the country.Koro said ''South Africa needed to take concrete steps to quell the unrest and bring the culprits involved to book,to act as a deterrent and prevent further violence''.He also called on the South African authorities to compensate the victims of these attacks.Soldiers were deployed over night to tackle gangs hunting down and killing foreigners after at least seven people died in violence in the last few weeks.If you ask me,it is a shameful act that Africans are killing themselves.The South Africans should also realize that their citizens are also domi...

                                  According to sources,Kate Middleton's real due date is today April the 22nd or tomorrow 23rd,not 25th April as was said initially.Though Royal sources point out that it has never been officially confirmed as such.''We haven't ever confirmed a due date,the Duchess herself said mid to late April and there have been plenty of dates bandied around in the media but we've never confirmed anything and we never will''.The close source said the Duchess is going into labour today or tomorrow not 25th.The Duchess is currently thought to be staying at Kensington palace,a short drive from the Lindo winf at St Mary's hospital where she is due to give birth.Yesterday tuesday,police could be seen searching the area in preparation for the Duchess arrival and were seen peering under traffic cones and taking lamp posts apart.More photos below.             ...

11 MEN,SENTENCED TO LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR KILLING 8 ANTI EBOLA OFFICIALS IN GUINEA.

              According to a Judiciary source in Guinea,the source said that a court in Guinea has just sentenced 11 men to life imprisonment for killing eight members of an anti-Ebola team in the south eastern village of Wormey last year September 2014.The bodies of the eight people were discovered in September 2014 in Wormey,a village near the city of Nzerekore around 1,000km south east of the capital Conakry.The 11 accused were also fined $137,000 which will be used as compensation to the families of the victims.15 other accused persons were acquitted by the court for lack of sufficient evidence.42 other people cited in this criminal case had not yet been found.The whole killing incident started last year September 2014,when 8 government and health personnel who had come to warn the village of Wormey about the dangers of Ebola disease,they were all attacked and killed by individuals who opposed their health campaign.It is only an illiterate that doe...
