PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.       The Lagos State Government has encouraged film makers and producers across the world to take advantage of the massive infrastructure and enabling environment provided by the Akinwunmi Ambode administration to shoot their films in the State. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Fola Adeyemi said this on Saturday during the unveiling of the magazine – ‘Cinema in Lagos’ by the State Government at the ongoing Cannes International Film Festival in Cannes, France.         Yesterday, the prayers of a popular snail seller, Iya Dare Onigbin at Owena, Igbaraoke in Ifedore local government area, Ondo State – was answered after meeting one of her customers who is now a governor.. When early today it was drizzling in parts of Igbaraoke, little did Mrs Funmilayo Osunla , know that the rain was a positive omen at meeting one of her long time customers who is now the govern or in Ondo State. According to reports, the snail seller had thought any effort put into retaining Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, as customer might not materialise for obvious reasons.           Months after a first batch of 189 Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Inspectors passed out from the Nigerian Defence Academy, a fresh batch of 314 Detective Superintendent have completed a thirteen - month long training at the Academy and passed out after a very colourful parade at the NDA Ribadu Campus. This brings the total number of EFCC operatives trained by the Nigerian Defence Academy to 503, both in the Detective Inspe ctor and Detective Superintendent cadre of the EFCC.
