OPRAH WINFREY IS CLOSING HER SOUTH AFRICA GIRLS’ ACADEMY AFTER 20 YEAR. (PHOTO).

  Oprah Winfrey is closing her South Africa Girls’ Academy after 20 year Oprah Winfrey has announced that the girls' school she founded in South Africa will shut down in 2027 after 20 years of operation. Following the completion of the 2027 academic year, the school campus will be returned to South Africa’s Gauteng Department of Education, as envisioned in the original partnership agreement for the school, according to Oprah Daily. Current students will still be able to complete the remainder of their schooling with uninterrupted financial support. While operations will be run by local officials, Winfrey will still continue her support with a new scholarship program, set to begin after OWLAG’s students have graduated. A rep for Winfrey told People the program will “double the amount of girls who will have access to education through this model.” The rep added, “That is the core of the decision to shift to this new model after seeing the success of the students the past 20 years.” A...

 I don’t use songwriters – Burna Boy replies Davido’s signee Logos Olori Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Burna Boy has denied using songwriters as suggested by Davido’s signee, Logos Olori. Logos Olori had stated in a recent interview with City 105. Fm, that not just his boss Davido, but Wizkid, Burna Boy and other big artists use songwriters. He said: “Most people that shame artists for using songwriters don’t know much about the music business. As a musician you tend to write your songs most times when you are up-and-coming. When you’ve 10 shows in a week in different countries, you’ll understand that you need a songwriter. “Chris Brown has a songwriter, Michael Jackson had a songwriter. I regret not signing Olamide – Akon Senegalese-American singer Akon has regretted not signing Nigerian indigenous rapper, Olamide Adedeji, simply known as Olamide or Baddo, some years ago. He said the YBNL boss was his favourite artiste back then. In a Skype interview with Newsmen, Akon said he regrets not signing the rapper. “I would probably say the one person in Nigeria that I wish I had signed is Olamide. Honestly, I wish I had signed Olamide because he would have signed a lot of new artists anyway. “Olamide was my favourite artist before he reinvented himself as a music executive. The first time we met, I told him he was my favourite artist,” Akon stated. MAGIC FM recalls that Akon once signed Nigerian music duo P-Square to his Konvict Music record label years ago.

A student has become Miss America's first ever transgender contestant to win a local pageant - prompting critics to accuse the 'woke' competition of 'allowing opportunities to be stolen away from female contestants'. Earlier this month, BrĂ­an Nguyen, 19, made Miss America history when she became the first transgender woman to win the Miss Greater Derry title. The Miss Greater Derry Scholarship Program, set up by the Miss America Organisation, welcomes contestants between the ages of 17 and 24 who are judged on their 'their achievements in scholastic, aptitude, talent, character, community service and poise', according to their website. N525m Fraud: Court Jails Fraudster 235 Years in Uyo  Justice Agatha Okeke of the Federal High Court, Uyo has convicted and sentenced a notorious international fraudster, Scales Olatunji, to 235years imprisonment for internet fraud and money laundering. Olatunji was arraigned on July 2, 2019 on 45-count charges bordering on identity theft, money laundering and conspiracy. He pleaded “not guilty” to the charges, thus setting the stage for his trial.
