 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. EFCC DETAINS/RE-ARRESTED IMO STATE EX-GOVERNOR ACHIKE UDENWA TODAY.{PHOTO}.

                       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today wednesday re-arrested the former governor of Imo Stat Achike Udenwa in connection with alleged campaign scadal at the last presidential election.Udenwa as a State Co-ordintor for The Presidential Campaign Organisation in Imo State was said to have collected the sum of N350,000,000 {Three Hundred and Fifty Million Naira Only} from the former senator representing Kaduna South and Director of Finance for the PDP presidential campaign organisation,Nenadi Usman.The suspect,in his statement to the Commission admitted receiving the money via Diamond Bank account No.0058805692 and 005950791 respectively on the 14th and 28th of January 2015 in three separate instalments.He added that the money came from a company named Joint Trust Dimension Limited.This same company was charged alongside Mrs Nenadi Usman and the Media Director of the PDP Presidential Campaign Orga...

NIGHT WEDDINGS IN KENYA COASTAL TOWN OF MOMBASA,HAVE BEEN BANNED.

                         According to CCTV,Kenya security agents have banned night wedding ceremonies at the coastal town of Mombasa due to increased cases of insecurity.Wedding organizers have been asked to ensure the weddings end by 10 pm or seek clearance from the security agents and must get police protection,which is paid for according to the Daily Nation.The decision came after increases attacks on residents by knife wielding gangs.Some of the residents supported the ban while others opposed the decision claiming that security should be free to allow the celebrations to continue as usual.The Swahili community in the region hold overnight events,weddings that extend up to five days.''The government cannot ban night weddinfs,which are cultural in this region..Instead,security agencies must deal with the gangs.We are in the 21st century and such orders are archaic'' said Commission for Human Rights and Justice executive...

                                The first Chibok girl rescued from the Boko Haram militants in Nigeria claims to have missed her husband and that she is unhappy to be separated from the father of her baby.Amina Ali is among the over 200 school girls kidnapped by the militant group two years ago.Amina,21 year,with her four month old baby were rescued early this year.In an exclusive interview to media house, she said ''I want him to know that I am still thinking about him...Just because we got separated,that does not mean that I don't think about him,I just want to go home-I don't know about school''.This is a very serious issue the government should look into.The government should not over look these situation,because the remaining girls might not be able to be that child to their parents again.So the question is is't worth it rescuing them since most of them have already built a home with this militants?.Mor...

                                         The Vice Chancellor,Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta,FUNAAB,Professor Olusola Oyewole alongside the University Bursar,Mr Moses Ilesanmi are being quizzed at the Iyaganku office of the EFCC Ibadan today,August 17,2016 in respect of an alleged case of Abuse of Office and misappropriation of funds reported against the Management,the University Pro Chancellor and some members of the Governing Council.According to a petition submitted to the EFCC by the Concerned Stakeholders of the Federal University of Agriculture,it was alleged that the Pro Chancellor and the Vice Chancellor engaged in an unbridled corruption and betrayal of public trusts.The duo are still being interrogated and have made useful statements that will help the EFCC operatives get through a diligent investigation into matter.Details later.

                     This is very funny but the story is true.A 30 year old trader has been arrested by the police in ogun state for naming his pet dog ''Buhari''.The trader identified as Joe Fortemose Chinakwe,of No 10,Omikunle Street,Sango-Ota,Ogun State,was reportedly arrested last weekend,after one of his neighbours of Northern origin complained bitterly that he named his dog after his father,Alhaji Buhari.The complainant reported the case at Sango Police Station,last Saturday,after which the trader was arrested and detained.However,it was gathered that efforts by the police to recover the dog,which they intended using as evidence failed following a clever move by the suspect.The trader,said to be trading in female wears at a popular market in Sango,allegedly directed his friends secretly to kill the dog and possibly eat the meat in order to avoid being implicated.It was gathered that consistent appeals by his friends and relati...
