PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.               According to sources,the counsel to Ex-Governor of Lagos state Bola Tinubu,Mr Tunji Abayomi said,a letter asking Daar Communications to appologise for the content and to stop the further airing of false allegation against him was delivered this afternoon,2nd of March 2015.The Part A of the letter reads ''You aired an hour long documentary forcussing on our client {Bola Tinubu}.Cleraly pre-occupied with political resentment and hatred neither warranted,necessary,proper,or justified.You published several false allegations against our client.More disturbing is your misrepresentation that said,the documentary was ''sponsored'',without disclosing the ''sponsors''.You cannot under law,hide under media freedom to maliciously injure a citizen's reputation''.The letter also demanded for N20billion {Twenty Billion Naira} as cost of damage done to the reputation of his client.Failing to comply,his client will sue the company.Read t...
