PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. PRESIDENT BUHARI TO VISIT LAGOS ON MONDAY,FOR TWO DAYS.

                On Monday the 23rd of May 2016,President Buhari will be visiting Lagos state for two days.In a statement by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy,Mr Steve Ayorinde,stated that this is the first in about 15 years that a sitting President will be visiting the State on a working visit and is a testimony to the landmark achievements in the last one year of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as well as the good working relationship between Lagos state and the Federal Government.Ayorinde added that President Buhari during the visit,would formally commission the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency {LASEMA} Rescuit Unit in Cappa Oshodi built by the State Government to ensure prompt and swift response to emergency situations in the state.He said the President would thereafter commission the newly constructed Ago Palace Way in Okota,Isolo after which he will pay homage to the Oba of Lagos,His Royal Majesty,Oba Babatunde Rilwanu...

EX-DG OF NIMASA,SENTENCED TO 5 YEARS IMPRISONMENT YESTERDAY FOR MONEY LAUNDERING.{PHOTOS}.

                Temisan Omatseye,former DG,Nigerian Martime Admistration and Safety Agency,NIMASA,was convicted yesterday friday May 20th,2016,and sentenced to five years imprisonment by a federal High Court Ikoyi Lagos.He was prosecuted by the EFCC for money laundering,contract splitting and bid rigging at over N1,5bn while he was the DG of NIMASA.More photos below.

                 Dubai is showing off its latest wonder,a floating villa in the middle of the ocean.The Floating Seahorse as it is popularly known,features an underwater bedroom with a view of transplanted coral and the waters of the Persain Gulf.The glass walls of the living and dining room open out on to a deck that has a netting area which allows a look at the water below.                            Charles Kitwanga,Tanzania's Home Affairs minister has been sacked by the country's president for turning up to parliament and answering questions while under the influence of alcohol.His the first minister to be fired since the cabinet's appointment.Analysts said his sack came as a surprise as he was widely viewed as being close to Magufuli.President John Magufuli,said in a statement yesterday friday that ''He was sacked after he turned up drunk to parliament and responded to a question directed to the Ministry of Home Affairs while being in a drunken state''.Kitwanga had previously faced calls to quit before the incident by lawmakers who criticized his handing of the ministry.The picture above is Charles Kitwanga,while the one below is the President of Tanzania.One more photo below.                               ...
