 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. PRESIDENTIAL AMNESTY FRAUD: EFCC SECURES FINAL FORFEITURE OF N732.85M TO FG.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Justice James Tsoho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday, March 1, 2019, granted the application of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking the final forfeiture of N732.85million to the Federal Government. The forfeiture includes a plot of land situated at Katsina Road by Ogbomosho Road, Kaduna North Local Government, worth N190million, all believed to be proceeds of unl awful activities. The EFCC was able to secure the final forfeiture, following the usage of non-conviction based forfeiture proceedings. The forfeited sum of N732.85million was stolen from the Presidential Amnesty Programme Office by 17 respondents to the suit. The 17 Respondents to the suit include Paul Tarela Boroh, Hanafi Musa Moriki, Allotey Asari Edem, Joshua Ebiemeyefa. Others are D. Godiya Akwashiki, a Senator-elect on the platform of our great party being beaten and stripped naked. We condemn in the strongest terms this barbaric act. It is unfortunate that this obnoxious act could be meted on a public figure of this high status, no matter the alleged offence. It behooves on our esteem party to appeal to our teeming members, and supporters to remain calm and law abiding. All and sundry should restrain themselves from taking the law into their hands.
