PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                  Yesterday monday,it was announced by the Norwegian Nobel Committee based in Oslo Norway,said the President of the United State Barack Obama is their selection for this years prestigious ''Laureate for the 2015 Nobel Prize for Peace''.Obama becomes the third man ever to win a Nobel Prize more than one time.He joins legendary physicist John Bardeen and Brilliant Chemist Fredrick Sanger,who were each awarded two Nobels in their respective fields.Many argued that his selection so soon after having ascended to the Presidency was a political handout from the Norwegians.He had not been in a position to effect international diplomacy for any measurable time.Nor had he actually accomplished any action of note that had led to the spread of international peace.It seemed that he had been selected for no other reasons than that he was elected to the Presidency.The Nobel Committee cited three separate contributing factors which led to thei...

A LOCAL HUNTER RELATED TO THE MURDER OF CECIL THE LION,WAS ARRESTED TODAY IN ZIMBABWE.

                     According to sources,today tuesday a local hunter who was linked to the killing of Cecil the lion in July was arrested by the Zimbabwean police,on new charges of transporting 29 sable antelopes without a permit and as accomplice to smuggling the animals.Theo Bronkhorst already faces trial on September 28 on charges of beaching hunting rules by helping an American dentist kill the 13 yea old rare black manned Cecil outside Hwange wildlife park.The lion's death sparked a global outcry from animal lovers.Police spokeswoman Charity Charamba told pressmen that Theo Bronkhorst was arrested in the second city of Bulawayo and would appear in court in the southern town of Beitbridge tomorrow wednesday.Three South African men were charged in court on saturday for illegally capturing the sables and attempting to export them without a permit.Police say the three men took the sables from a private game park in the resort tow...

               Today tuesday,the owner of the truck whose container fell and killed three people at Ojuelegba overhead bridge,in Lagos on the 2nd of September 2015 Mr Kilani Ojo Adesanya was arraigned before an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate court in Lagos state.The 50 year old was arraigned today tuesday on a two count criminal charge of giving the truck to a driver without driving documents.He was brought before the court by the men of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department of Lagos State Police Command,Panti,Yaba Lagos.The accused truck owner was alleged to have permitted the driver of the truck Wasiu Adeleke to drive his truck with registration number EPE 46 XK without a valid driver's license issued to him by the appropriate.He was also alleged to have given the truck to the driver to drive on the highway without MOT test certificate,road worthiness certificate,and vehicle license issued in respect of the truck by the appropriate au...

               According to CCTV,an Egyptian billionaire identified as Nagulb Sawiris has offered to purchase Mediterranean islands for refugees to call home and earn a decent living.The tycoon has identified two private Greek islands which he is negotiating to acquire.The story of the three year old Syrian child Aylan who washed up to a beach in Turkey after their boat capsized is what moved the billionaire to action.His plan to give the refugees an island has been stalled by lack of communication from Italy and Greece.Sawiris said in a statement that he has been approached by the {United Nation's refugees Agency UNHCR}to collaborate in the settlement project.The initial stage of the project is estimated to be worth 100 million dollars.Naguib Sawiris is the CEO of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology based in Cairo.The tycoon is the third richest man in Egypt and his ranked 10th richest man in Africa by Forbes.
