 Zamfara Governor’s Wife Facilitates Marriage for 100 Orphans, Offers Support to Grooms The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has overseen the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in the state. The brides, who were well cared for prior to the ceremony, received full attention for their beautification. Each bride’s dowry, amounting to 151,000 Naira, was covered by the Governor’s wife. In addition, Huriyya Dauda Lawal provided essential household items, including furniture such as cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Furthermore, she offered financial assistance of N50,000 to each groom to help them start their businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. Hajiya Lawal encouraged the brides to respect their husbands and practice patience. She also assured them that the Zakkat and Endowment Board would be available to offer support should any marital issues arise.

      According to an eyewitness:    “This sad incident happened yesterday at Awada in Onitsha . The 2 women are living together in a flat because their husbands share a flat in one compound. Even though their husbands are friends, The wives never got along and was always quarreling but nothing prepared us for what we saw this morning…. When their husband left for shop this morning, another round of fight began and this time it was different. we heard screaming and then a huge thud and then wailing and crying ensured I rushed to the verandah and discovered to my dismay that the women fell from their 3rd floor flat and both of them shattered many bones in their bodies. Both couldnt stand but i suspect that the other may have broken her spinal cord because she couldnt move a limb and her head was severely bashed and she was bleeding heavily. LAGOS TASK FORCE ARRESTS 10 MOTORISTS DRIVING AGAINST TRAFFIC.#PRESS RELEASE.

       The operatives of the Lagos State Task Force over the weekend arrested 10 vehicle owners/drivers around Dopemu, Iyana-Ipaja, Agege and Mile 2 for driving against on-coming vehicles on one-way roads in contravention of the Lagos State Road Traffic Law of 2012. CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Chairman of the Lagos State Task Force, who led the enforcement exercise, disclosed that the offenders include commercial bus drivers a nd private car owners who have continued to flagrantly disobey the State Traffic Law despite several warnings by the government. In his words, “It is disheartening that in spite of the vigorous enlightenment campaigns by the State government, some motorists could still be driving against traffic and causing unnecessary traffic congestion and hardship for other law-abiding motorists, commuters and ordinary Lagosians”. INTERNET FRAUDSTER BAGS ONE YEAR IMPRISONMENT YESTERDAY.{PHOTO}.

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Benin Zonal Office on Monday, June 10, 2019 secured the conviction of Okhiemwen Roland Ekata aka (Zamani, Baron Wellington) before Justice A. A. Demi-Ajayi of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State. Ekata was arraigned on an amended one-count charge bordering on intent to defraud and impersonation an offence contrary to Section 484 of the Criminal Code Act CAP C 38 of the Revised Edition (Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, and punishable under Section 484 of the same Act. The charge reads: "That you Okhiemwen Roland Ekata 'M' aka Zamani, Baron Wellington on or about the 3rd day of June 2015 at Benin City, Edo State, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, being a citizen of Nigeria, with intent to defraud, you falsely represented yourself as Molton Cole, a citizen of England, which you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 484 of the Criminal Cod...

A MAN CUTS OFF THE HAND OF A BOY OVER THE WEEKEND AT OKOKO.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

     The Police Command in Lagos State has arrested a fish farmer, Jeremiah Obifor, 61, for allegedly cutting off the hand of an 11-year-old boy, Goodluck Amechi. The Spokesperson of the police in Lagos state, DSP Bala Elkana, said in a statement in Lagos on Sunday that the man cut off the boy’s hand who he suspected had come to steal his fish. Elkana said that the suspect was arrested after the victim’s foster mother, Doris Isaac, reported the matter at the Okoko, Police Station. He said that on June 7 at about 12:20pm the boy’s foster mother who resided at No.6 Ajanaku Street, Okoko, reported the matter at the Okoko police station. The police spokesperson said that Obifor attacked the 11-year-old boy with a machete and cut off his right hand. “The victim was rushed to Igando General Hospital. “The suspect alleged that he saw the victim around his fish pond and thought that he came to steal his fish and that was why he attacked him.More photos below.
