 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. THE NEPHEW OF THE PRESIDENT OF SOMALIA,WAS KILLED TODAY BY AL-SHABAAB MILITANTS.

                    Today wednesday the President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud,his nephew was killed today.The presidents nephew is identified as Liban Osman and a lawyer named Abdikadir Mohamed were attacked in their car by al-Shabaab militants.Liban Osman had just returned from abroad and was about to start working as the director of a Mogadishu hospital.Al Shabaab's military operation spokesman,Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab,said the group targeted Osman because he was a very important official at the presidential palace.

3 SUICIDE BOMBERS,KILLED 17 PEOPLE TODAY IN YOBE STATE.

                    Today wednesday,it was confirmed by the spokesman {Abdullahi Bego} for governor {Ibrahim Gaidam} of Yobe state that unidentified suicide bombers killed 17 people,11 people injured,in three blasts in Damaturu.Todays attack is the worst to hit the capital of Yobe since July.The attack was carried out shortly after 6am near a mosque and shops in the suburbs.The State Emergency Management Agency {SEMA} in Yobe said the three suicide bombers were teenage boys.'' .All fingers have been accusing the Islamist group Boko Haram      

NIGERIAN PRISON SERVICE,DEBUNKS RUMOURS OF CHARLES OKAH'S DEATH TODAY.

               Today wednesday,the Nigerian Prisons Service denied the speculated death of Charles Okah.Rumours had it that Charlse Okah died in prison shortly after he returned from court yesterday tuesday where he attempted to kill himself.The Nigerian Prisons Service spokesman,Francis Enobore,was quoted as saying that the suspect was not dead.Yesterday tuesday,Charles Okah was prevented from committing suicide while in court by security operatives attached to Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court Abuja.He is being tried for terrorism,,the alleged mastermind of the 2010 independence day bombing in Abuja in which scores of people died.In the absence of his counsel in the course of Tuesday's proceedings,he asked Justice Kolawole for permission to speak on what he described as endless trial.Immediately he ended his speech,he took a chair and rushed toward a window on the third floor of the five storey building and tried to take a plunge through the window before securit

A 75 YEAR OLD WOMAN THAT WAS KIDNAPPED A WEEK AGO,WAS JUST RELEASED WITHOUT RANSOM.

                     The 75 year old woman is identified as Hajiya Fatima Mohammed and she was kidnapped a week ago at Kebbe,in Kebbe Local Government Area of Sokoto state,has been released by her abductors.NAN,gathered that the woman,who is the mother of Alhaji Yusha'u Kebbe,the All Nigrria People's Party governorship candidate in the state during the 2011 polls,had rejoined her family.Mr Sabo Kurawa,spokesman of the Police Command in the state said today wednesday in Sokoto that no ransom was paid for her release.''The Command can authoritatively confirm that the kidnapped woman has been released.There was no payment of ransom before she was released and this is the information at hand for now''.
