CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State. 28 DEAD,65 WOUNDED AS A SUICIDE BOMBER DETONATED A BOMB IN CAMEROON TODAY.

                    Today monday according to sources,suicide bombers targeting a town in northern Cameroon killed 28 people and wounded 65 people.State owned radio and local officials said that four explosions struck a busy market and entrances to the town of Bodo,which borders the Islamist insurgency's strongholds in northeastern Nigeria.An official said ''The new toll is 28 dead and 65 wounded.Currently the situation is stable.Our security forces are in place''.Though there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack but all fingers are pointed to the Nigerian Islamist group,Boko Haram.One more photo below.                                                                                            ...

CAPE VERDE GOVT DEBUNK THE TRAVEL ALERT ISSUED BY THE US GOVT,OVER A NEW VIRUS ''zIKA''.

According to CCTV,Cape Verde has dismissed a travel alert issued by the US government over zika virus,saying the concerns were overblown and that the number of cases of the virus in the country was on the decline.The US Cerntre for Disease Control {CDC} extended its travel warning on friday to a futher eight countries,including Cape Verde,that pse a risk of infection with zika ,bringing the total number to 22.The virus zika is a mosquito borne virus spreading through the Caribbean and Latin America.Only about 20 percent of the infected cases display'' symptoms which are usually mild and include fever,join and conjunctivitis.The CDC warns that it can also be spread from pregnant women to foetuses and has been linked to a birth defect called microcephaly,in which babies are born with abnormally small heads and sometimes brain damage.Jorge Barreto,the representatives for Cape Verde's National Directorate of Health,said the warning did not constitute a travel ban but was intend...

A SUSPECTED CAR THIEF GAVE A PASTOR A STOLEN VEHICLE,TO PRAY FOR HIS BARREN WIFE.

                    According to sources,an automobile dealer,Osas Felix Bright,has confessed that he buys stolen vehicles from robbers and gave one of such SUVs to a pastor to pray for his baarren wife to conceive in Lagos.Osas Felix Bright was arrested along with the pastor,Titus Onwuchekwa who received the stolen SUV as gift.Bright made the confession when they paraded by the State Commissioner of Police,Fatai Owoseni last week.The police also recovered 18 stolen vehicles of various brands from the suspects.Delta state born Osas Bright also revealed that he did not tell his wife that he was buying stolen vehicles from robbers.He explained that she only knew him as a genuine auto dealer at Berger.''My wife does not know that i buy stolen vehicles.She got to know after i was arrested''.Bright also confessed that he knew that suppliers of the recovered vehicles were car snatchers because he buys the SUVs at give away prices.Pastor Titus ...

                      Today monday,the Lagos State Government has given seven days ultimatum to residents to keep to the directives that gates or barricades leading to major roads in the state,is locked between 12 mid night and 5am with manned security guards to allow free flow of vehicular movement.State Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs,Mr.Muslim Folami,who revisited the directive yesterday at a press conference said the government will not hesitate to remove gates of streets where residents fail to comply.According to him ''This is a serious issue and we are not taking it likely with anyone,residents have within seven days to comply with this directive or have their gates remove''He assured residents of security,saying that government officials will go round to make sure that people comply with the government directives.One photos below.                     ...
