 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                          25 year old Ester Onakomaya who resides at Dental Centre street in Ago Ipesha in Abeokuta,told an Abeokuta Customary court sitting in Ake that her husband Seun Onakomaya was a selfish and violent man.She said that her four year old marriage was blessed with only one issue,2 year old Damilola.Esther also accused her husband of shying away from his responsibilities as a man and also did not allow her to work.''My husband does not want me to work.He wants me to stay at home as a full time house wife.I am tired of the suffering.He does not take care of the family as promised.I see no point in remaining his wife.I am praying for a divorce now to enable me to move on with my life''.Ester appealed to the court to grant her custody of their only son.Her husband 35 year old Seun,accepted the plea of his wife to dissolve their marriage saying the dissolution would be a good development.He said ''When i met her,i told her i don't want her to do

              Today friday the Nigerian Chief of Defence staff Air Marshal Alex Badeh said ''A ceasefire agreement has been concluded between the Federal Government of Nigeria and Boko Haram.I have according directed the service Chiefs to ensure immediate compliance with this development in the field.President Goodluck Jonathan's principal Secretary Hassan Tukur told AFP that an agreement to end hostilities had been reached following talks,as well as the release of 219 girls held in captive since April.He said he had represented the government at the two meetings with the Boko haram group to end hostilities and as well as the release of the missing girls.''Boko Haram issued the ceasefire as a result of the discussions we have been having with them.The announcement was made last night thursday.They have agreed to release the Chibok girls''.I hope Boko Haram will release these missing girls as soon as possible.More photos below.

4 PEOPLE SUSPECTED TO BE INFECTED WITH EBOLA VIRUS IN SPAIN,INCLUDING A NIGERIAN,TESTED NEGATIVE.

                      According to Spain Health officials said today friday that four people suspected to be infected with Ebola virus,hospitalised yesterday thursday,including a Nigerian passenger taken from an evacuated plane by police escorted ambulance,have tested negative to Ebola virus.The three other people apart from the Nigerian is a priest who had recently been in Liberia,a man recently in Sierra Leone who tested positive to malaria and another person who traveled in the same ambulance as Teresa Romero,Spain's only known Ebola sufferer.Spain is on high alert for the disease after Romero,a nurse who cared for two Ebola infected Priest before they died,became the first person to contract the virus outside West Africa.She is gravely ill but stable.One more picture below.
