 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. SS3 STUDENT SHOT DEAD IN CLASH WITH RICE SMUGGLERS IN BADAGRY.{PHOTO}.

  An SS3 student was shot dead during a clash between security operatives of the Joint Border Patrol Team (JBPT) and suspected rice smugglers at Irosu village near Badagry at the weekend. Alade Oba (18), was hit by stray bullet and died on the spot during the clash with JBPT comprising Customs, Army and Immigration. JBPT, which was established in the aftermath of the border closure of August 2019, is yet to be disbanded. It was gathered that the JBPT were on routine patrol at Irosu community near Sawa check point around Owode-Apa border post in search of smuggled foreign rice, following a tip off. An On-Air-Personality working with Naija Fm Ibadan has been shot dead by unknown gunmen. Report says he was killed on Saturday June 19, at about 9pm. According to whatsupibadan who broke the news on Instagram wrote; Titus Badejo, Known as Ejanla was reportedly shot at a lounge in Oluyole area of Ibadan, Oyo state around 9pm.   A serving officer of a law enforcement agency, Popoola Abayomi has been arrested for selling assorted illicit drugs to students of a federal university and cultists in Ogun state. The drug dealer who serves in the Lagos state Command of the security agency was arrested on Wednesday 15 th  June, 2021 after days of surveillance on his wife’s shop used as his sales point in Camp area of Abeokuta.   It is a sad day for family and friends of Michael Usifo Ataga, the Chief Executive Officer of Super TV, and a director in Super Network Limited, a telecoms firm, as he has been gruesomely murdered by his side chick. Ataga who resides in Banana Island was reported missing on Sunday by concerned friends and family after all efforts to reach him proved abortive.
