 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba.      The Oyo State Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transportation, Professor Raphael Afonja was at Akesan market, Oyo town for on-the-spot assessment of a fire outbreak at the market earlier today. The Honourable Commissioner who was accompanied by the Commissioner for Environment, Hon. Kehinde Ayoola also paid a visit to victims of the fire outbreak at an undisclosed hospital where they are receiving proper medical care. He expressed the goodwill of Gov. IRAQI PARLIAMENT BACKS GOVERNMENT PUSH TO EXPEL FOREIGN TROOPS.{PHOTOS}.

      Iraq’s parliament on Sunday backed a recommendation by the prime minister that all foreign troops should be ordered out, responding to the U.S. killing of a top Iranian military commander and an Iraqi militia leader in Baghdad. A special session of parliament passed a resolution saying that the Shi’ite-led government, which is close to Iran, should cancel its request for assistance from a U.S.-led coalition. It is not binding on the government but is likely to be taken up, given caretaker premier Adel Abdul Mahdi’s stance. “Despite the internal and external difficulties that we might face, it remains best for Iraq on principle and practically,” said Abdul Mahdi, who resigned in November amid street protests. The misleading news reports, which quoted an anonymous source in the office of the Head of Service, is nothing but a tissue of lies and a figment of the imagination of the writers. The office of the Head of Service has denied any plan to carry out any disengagement in the listed MDAs as claimed in the malicious reports. NIGERIAN LADY ARRESTED AFTER SHE REFUSED TO RETURN N950K WHICH WAS TRANSFERRED TO HER ACCOUNT BY MISTAKE.{PHOTOS}.

     A Nigerian lady has been arrested by the police after defrauding an abroad returnee of N950k. Sharing a video of the lady at the police station, Ex-beauty Queen Cassandra said her cousin who is a doctor, mistakenly transferred N950k to the lady who begged him for N95k. It was gathered that after the lady received the money, she blocked the 'I Just Got Back' on Instagram, deleted all her photos and refused picking up his calls. She however got busted after Cassandra saw her drinking at the beach with some of her friends. In an Instagram exchange with some of her followers, the ex-beauty Queen revealed that the lady moved the money to another account before her account got frozen. Upon being interrogated, the lady said she used the money she felt was sent as payment for sex she had with the doctor in paying her house rent.More photos below.
