 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen.                 The Minister of Power,Works & Housing,Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN,today commissioned the completed emergency repair workss on the Kaduna-Abuja dual carriageway.The Abuja-Kaduna and Kaduna-Abuja bound carriageways are 165km each bringing it to a total of 330km. The Minister had explained that the intended closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on the 8th of March 2017 for repair works on the runway,and redirection of all flights to the Kaduna International Airport for a period of 6 weeks had informed the emergency works to address the failed sections,potholes and multiple cracks on the dual carriageway.

             The Lagos State Government today tuesday assured farmers in the State especially in Epe axis of adequate measures to protect them against incessant kidnappings,just as it vowed to pursue vigorously and sustain the renewed enforcement of the ban on commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada plyng restricted routes.Rising from the monthly Security Council Meeting chaired by the State Governor,Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode,the State Government assured residents and investors of commitment to their security and well-being,adding that no stone would be left unturned towards protecting the people.The State's Commissioner of Police,Mr Fatai Owoseni who briefed journalists after the meeting,said the Council reviewed the security situation in the State in the last one month and resolved to redouble efforts where necessary. ARMS SCAM: OBANIKORO'S WIFE,MOROOPHAT,LOSES HOUSE TO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.{PHOTOS}.

            Justice Y Halilu of the FCTT High Court,sitting in Jabi,Abuja on Monday,February 27,2017 ordered the forfeiture of a property belonging to Moroophat Obanikoro,the wife of a former Minister of State for Defence,Senator Musiliu Obanikoro,pending the outcome of corruption investigations into her husband and children.The court also rejected a prayer by Obanikoro's wife asking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ,EFCC,to pay her the sum of N200million for violating her fundamental rights.Ad part of investigations into the $2.1bn arms scam involving the Office of the National Security Adviser,the EFCC had traced the transfer of about N4.7bn to the Diamond Bank account of Syvan McNamara,a company allegedly owned by Obanikoro'd two sons-Gbolahan and Babajide.Out of the N4.7bn,Obanikoro allegedly gave N3.880bn to Ayodele Fayose and Senator Iyiola Omosore in July 2014,when they were the People Democratic Party governorship candidates in Ekiti and Osun states respecti
