Strings of red lights now glow across the city, reflecting a slow but meaningful return of Christmas traditions to the historic birthplace of Jesus in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. After years of upheaval following the Gaza war, residents say the renewed festivities offer a fragile but welcome sign of relief and resilience. Juka, who watched his family’s restaurant sit empty through two holiday seasons, described the moment simply: “It’s not like it was before the war, but it feels like life is coming back again.” Bethlehem’s identity and livelihood are deeply tied to tourism, with the majority of its residents depending on pilgrims and visitors to keep the local economy moving.                              According to the Oba of the land in Ondo state,High Chief Moses Enimade,the Oyewoga of Odelrele in Ondo state,said some youths entered the shrine in their community and made away with traditional items in a bid to acquire extra ordinary powers and engage in money rituals,since April 15,2015.''They were not qualified to enter the room {shrine}.They had to face death penalty.Even the Kabiesi himself is not permitted to enter the Molokun shrine inner room,except the Chief priest and High Chief Gbogurun.Sacrifice must be performed before they can enter.20 youths have died as a result of their desperate acts.We  have to appease the gods or else many will still die and we have to buy them according to tradition.Their corpses belong to the gods and will be exhumed if buried by their families''.After the robbery,the youths died of severe headache and blindness.One more picture below. ...

                       Some supporters have urged President Pierre Nkurunziza to stand again in June's election although he has not commented on his intentions.Opponents say such a move would violate the constitution,and even some ruling party official have asked him not to run.Protesters were shouting ''We won't let him run again''.Protesters took shelter in shops or buildings after the teargas was thrown before regrouping again.Some of the protesters hurled stones at the police.Rain later help disperse them.Opposition parties are discussing uniting behind a single candidate to improve their chances of defeating President Nkurunziza third term ambition.He took over office in 2005 after 12 years of civil conflict.He has served two terms,and the constitution and the peace deal that ended that war both stipulate that no one should be president for longer than 10 years.The president's supporters argued that his first term should n...
