 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A DISMISSED NIGERIAN SOLDIER IBRAHIM,WAS ARRAIGNED FOR ROBBING A MAN ON GUN POINT IN LAGOS.

               According to sources,a dismissed soldier from a military formation in Lagos,38 year old Ibrahim Ari has been arraigned for allegedly robbing Hassan Mohammed of the sum of N5,855,000 inside his vehicle.Operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad {FSARS},Adeniji Adele Road,Lagos,arrested Ari sometime last year.After robbing the victim of the money at gun point,he threw him out of the moving vehicle and escaped.After the incident was reported to the police,Ari and his accomplice were arrested.After investigation by CSP D.Daura and his team,the accused was arraigned before an Igbosere magistrate court,Lagos on a two count charge of felony to wit,armed robbery.The police prosecutor,Supol C.N Odii informed the court that the accused and his accomplice currently remanded at Ikoyi Prison,Lagos,committed the offence on 17 May 2014 at Obalende B/stop,Lagos.Odii told the court that the incident occurred when the victim was sent to the bank by his boss,Alhaji Aliu Tanko,to

U.S,WARNS THEIR CITIZENS IN SOUTH AFRICA OF A POSSIBLE ATTACK VERY SOON BY EXTREMISTS.

                            Today tuesday,the United States warns it citizens of a possible attack by extremists {Islamic militants}against U.S facilities or interests in South Africa.In a statement,the U.S embassy said it had no information about a specific target or timing,but advised U.S citizens to review their personal security plans and maintain their vigilance.A spokeswoman for the police in Gauteng the province that is home to both the U.S embassy in Pretoria and its consulate in Johannesburg,said she was unaware of the U.S warning.

22 HOUSES,WASHED AWAY YESTERDAY IN ABUJA AFTER A VERY HEAVY RAIN FALL.

              Today tuesday,victims of yesterday flood in Abuja spoke with NAN that the rainfall yesterday monday night flooded their houses and washed away valuable property.One of the victims,Blessing Samuel,said that she narrowly survived when the house she was living in with her child collapsed.''My child and i were sleeping at about 4:00am.When we woke up,we saw water everywhere in the room.All i could think of is my child.I rushed and picked my baby and immediately went out of the building and saw the house collapsing''.22 houses were destroyed by the flood.Mr Ibrahim Daniel,the council's Chairman,who visited the flood scene and sympathised with the victims,advised the residents against dumping refuse inside drains.Daniel who promised  to assist the people,said he would report the matter to the appropriate authority for further action.The flood took place at Sheda in Kwali Area council of the FCT.They are also calling on National Emergency Management Agency {N

HORSE OR DONKEY RIDES,BANNED IN BORNO STATE BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY.

                It was reported yesterday by sources that horse riding and donkeys in Borno state,has been outlawed by the Nigerian military because of the recent attack strategy by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram.The Boko Haram have started attacking innocent people and villages on horseback.The military communicated the decision through the Shehu of Borno,Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi.Last week,Boko Haram members on horseback killed over 80 people in three villages of the state,with similar attacks also reported in other past of the north east region.It was against this that the military said {A resident reported speech} ''Issued a ban on horse riding and the Shehu {of Borno} gathered us all and informed us of the decision.He told us that despite the fact that the people of Borno have been known with riding horses,that should be stopped henceforth.If the soldiers spotted anyone on horse back,they cannot determine his true identity''.
