PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.         The Lagos State Administrator-General, Mrs. Omotola Rotimi, has called on all residents to embrace the culture of writing their Wills while they are still hale hearty and save their families from avoidable legal cases and family acrimony after death. The Administrator-General, who made the call recently while featuring on a Lagos Television (LTV) programme, titled “Oro To Nlo”, specifically pleaded with family breadwinners, who are 40 years of age and above, not to trivialise the issue of writing their Wills.          It is a sad day in Umuereagu village in Anaku, Anambra State as Mr. Gabriel Udoroji Ejimor and Mrs. Jennifer Uchechukwu Ejimofor Were buried on friday the 28th of August,2020. Husband and wife whose death occurred on Wednesday 5th August, 2020 as a result of gunshots by unknown cult members in their resident in Azikoro Village, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The husband and wife were 45 and 38 years respectively. More saddening is the fact that they left behind four children, two girls and two boys who are all below the age of 10.May their souls rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.

          Justice Aisha Mahmoud of the Kano State High Court on Friday, August 28, 2020 convicted and sentenced one Ismail Nuhu to one year imprisonment for issuance of dud cheques. The convict was prosecuted by the Kano zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission( EFCC) on five count charges of issuance of dud cheques. The convict obtained fertilizer worth N8,700,000 (Eight Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira Only) from a petitioner and issued him four Diamond Bank cheques, which were returned unpaid, due to lack of funds in the account. However, while investigation was ongoing, the convict paid the sum of N6,000,000 (Six Million Naira Only) and refused to pay the remaining sum of N2,700,000 ( Two Million, Seven Hundred Thousand Naira Only).
