PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. DEEPER LIFE TO PAY CELESTIAL CHURCH,N5 MILLION FOR TRESPASS.

                       The Court of Appeal,Lagos Division has upheld a Lagos High Court judgment according to the Nation newspaper,ordering the Registered Trustees of Deeper Christian Life Ministry {DCLM} to pay N5 million as damages for trespass on land owned by the Celestial Church of Christ {CCC}.CC had,through its representative,Joseph Ebhodaghe,sued DCLM over a disputed land measuring approximately 1055.864 square meters,situated at Mulero area of Agege and registered as No. 75 Volume 2004T at the Lagos State Land Registry,Ikeja.At the High Court,Justice Candide-Johnson in a judgment delivered on January 17,2014,declared Celestial Church as the rightful owner of the disputed land and awarded N5m as damages against Deeper Life.The court also granted a perpetual injunction restraining DCLM,its agents or servants from further trespass on the disputed land.Dissatisfied,DCLM,through its lawyer,Gabriel Akigbe,appealed against th...

                Uganda farmers are feeding their pigs HIV/AIDs medication to meet their country's growing appetite for cheap pork.Pigs fed with ARVs medication breeds antibiotic resistant germs that can cause deadly harm to consumers according to public health advocates.Although it is a struggle for some parts of Uganda to access the ARVs,farmers in Lira district are feeding it to their pigs believing it will keep swine flu at bay and cause the animal to fatten and grow faster.Dr James Okullo,in charge of Erute North Sub-district to The Monitor said ''Animals have their own drugs and the dosage is different,and the farmers are risking the lives of their animals and the consumers.If you eat the meat of the pig that was given ARVs,by time you start taking ARVs,you will become resistant to the drugs''.One more photo below.                                   ...

NIGERIAN ARMY,AMBUSHED BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS ESCAPING FROM SAMBISA FOREST YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                     At the early hours of sunday the 24th of April 2016,troops of 81 Battalion and some elements of 251 Task Force Battalion,25 Brigade,ambushed suspected Boko Haram terorists escaping from Sambisa forest to Fulawani village.The Ambushed terrorists were trying to link up with other terrorists or member of their families to relocate to other places.It will be recalled that the troops intercepted a group of women and children yesterday who claimed to have escaped from the terrorists enclave in Sambisa forest.However,during screening and interrogation,it was confirmed that they were the terrorist's advance party relocating to a new safe haven following intense tactical operations by troops.The troops sprang a surprise ambush on the group of escaping terrorists from Sambisa forest crossing towards Alagamo mounted on motorcycles and bicycles,killing 5 of them and recovering a number of items.These include 5 motorcycles,9...

RRS ARRESTED A DANFO DRIVER,FOR STEALING EKO BRIDGE RAILS.{PHOTO}.

                        The Rapid Response Squad {RRS} of the Nigeria Police Command has arrested a man,who claimed to be a driver of commercial bus in Lagos,popularly known as Danfo driver,Ademola Ibrahim for illegally removing the rails both under and above the Eko Bridge.Ibrahim was said to have conspired with one other suspect simply identified as Kampo to commit the crime on April 24,2016 at about 7pm.The suspects had attempted to park the bridge rails into a waiting Volkswagen Paragon bus with registration number MUS 457 XK when they were intercepted,while the said Kampo took to his heels upon sighting the RRS patrol vehicle.The RRS source in RRS,who does not want to be named,disclosed that investigation of the command revealed that the suspects have been indulging in such criminal act in other parts of the state.He said ''About three days ago,one of our patrol vehicles,RRS 153 went on routine patrol and when they were go...
