PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. PASSENGERS STRANDED AS TRAIN DERAILS IN KOGI FOREST. (PHOTOS).

 Passengers Stranded As Train Derails In Kogi Forest A train plying the Warri-Itakpe route has reportedly derailed, forcing many passengers to be stranded. It is said to be the same train where passengers were abducted from at its station in Igueben, Edo State. It was gathered that the incident happened inside Kogi forest. Several passengers were said to have abandoned the train for fear of being kidnapped. It was gathered that the train left Warri early Sunday and got derailed at around 12pm inside the forest between Ajaokuta and Itakpe. The Delta and Kogi State police commands could not immediately confirm the incident, however, the Manager, Warri/Itakpe railway, told our correspondent he was just on his way to the scene and would give the details later. According to a staff member of the Nigerian Railway Corporation at the Itakpe Station, the incident took place at about 20km from the the destination of the train. POLICE RESCUED TWO OUT OF SIX ABDUCTED SCHOOL CHILDREN. (PHOTO).

Police Rescued Two Out Of Six Abducted Doma Schoolchildren  *** The Police said two out of the six abducted pupils of the LGEA Primary School Alwaza, Doma LGA of Nasarawa State have been rescued.  The spokesperson of the Nasarawa State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, made this known on Saturday.  According to the spokesperson, the rescued pupils were among the six children kidnapped on Friday, January 20 by gunmen.  “Police in collaboration with sister Security Agencies have rescued two females among the six pupils that were abducted yesterday at Alwaza Village, Doma LGA. “Effort is ongoing to rescue the other pupils unhurt and arrest the perpetrators,” DSP Nansel said.  Gunmen had invaded the community on Friday morning and whisked away about six (6) schoolchildren.

PRESS RELEASE.   January 22, 2023  The Editors, CRIME BULLETIN  CULPABLE HOMICIDE,  CAUSING GRIEVOUS HURT, AND KIDNAPPING  A distress call received by the command on the 22nd January 2022 at about 0345hrs indicates that on the same date at about 0200hrs, some unknown gunmen invaded Gambar Sabon layi village and attacked innocent residents. on receiving the report, detectives of the command were drafted to the scene led by the DPO Tafawa Balewa Divisional Police Headquarters evacuated the victims to the Tafawa Balewa General Hospital for medical treatment.  Unfortunately, four victims were certified dead by the medical doctor, while one person sustained various degrees of injury during the attack. Similarly, one person was confirmed to have been kidnapped to an unknown destination by the assailants. She traveled with a large contingent of friends and aides ; The group got into a waiting car at Memphis airport, ahead of Sunday's funeral Michael Lockwood, who was married to Lisa Marie from 2006-16, father of the twins,was also on the plane with Priscilla Presley. The duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson gave an emotional speech at Lisa Marie Presley's public funeral at Graceland. Ferguson pledged to Lisa Marie's three daughters - Riley, Finley and Harper -- that she will 'help them' during their mourning.
