 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. AMOSUN APPROVED THE CONSTITUTION OF A NEW GOVERNING COUNCIL FOR THE OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY.

FRSC RESCUED 13 PEOPLE YESTERDAY FROM A MULTIPLE CRASH ALONG LAGOS-IBADAN ROUTE.

           Federal Road Safety Corps {FRSC} patrol team rescued 7 male and 3 female adults and 2 male and 1 female children from a multiple crash that occurred yesterday on 06/5/2017,0655hrs along Lagos-Ibadan route at 115km from Express Quarry opposite Motherless Baby Home.The victims were taken to the Ibadan Central Hospital and University College Hospital.

82 MISSING CHIBOK SCHOOL GIRLS WERE RELEASED YESTERDAY BY BOKO HARAM.

                 It was reported that yesterday saturday,a total number of 82 girls kidnapped from their school in Chibok in 2014,were set free yesterday by the leader of the militant group after a swap.The girls were handed over to the Nigerian authorities at Banki,a border town between Nigeria and Cameroon.The release came almost seven months after the terrorists group handed over 21 other abducted girls to the Nigerian government after rounds of secret negotiations.Boko Haram Abducted 276 girls during a night raid from their school hostel in the Borno state town of Chibok.More photos below.

DSS ARRESTED IFEANYI UBAH ON FRIDAY OVER N11B OIL THEFT.

              Ifeanyi Ubah,the chairman of Capital Oil and Gas Limited has been arrested by the Department of State Services.The agency revealed the arrest yesterday in a statement by spokesman,Tony Opuiyo.Opuiyo said Ubah was arrested on friday in connection with the theft of petrol kept by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,NNPC,in his tank farm in Lagos.The product was valued at over N11 billion.The agency said Ubah's action amounted to economic sabotage,with ''capacity to negatively impact on national economy.In furtherance of his gimmicks to undermine the government and people of Nigeria,he has incited members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers {PTD},a critical player in the downstream sub-sector of the Petroleum Industry,to refuse/stop the lifting of products.This is part of his plans to curry their sentiments and cause them to embark on strike and also stage protests in hiss favour with the ulterior motive of arm-twisting the NNPC to abandon the cause of recove
