 PRESIDENT TINUBU EULOGIZES DR THOMPSON ABAYOMI OSHIN ON HIS CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY President Bola Tinubu congratulates Dr Thompson Abayomi Oshin, a renowned healthcare professional, educator, and humanitarian, on his 100th birthday. Dr Oshin, widely regarded as the father of physiotherapy in Nigeria, is a pioneer of physiotherapy in Africa. He is the first head and consultant physiotherapist at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, and served as the first Secretary-General of the African Physiotherapy Organisation following his election in Cairo in 1980. A statement by Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga says the President also salutes Pa Oshin, who helped transform physiotherapy from a hospital-based technical service into a respected university-level profession, laying the foundation for modern physiotherapy education and practice in Nigeria. GUNMEN KIDNAPPED DIEZANI ALISON MADUEKE'S YOUNGER BROTHER JOSEPH,YESTERDAY.

                                                                               Yesterday thursday,gunmen kidnapped the younger brother of Alison Madueke,Nigerian current president of OPEC and Minister,in Bayelsa state.Her brother was identified as Joseph Agama and he was kidnapped around 11:00 GMT.Police were alerted by their father,Maxwell.No group has yet claimed responsibility for the kidnap and the police has started investigation immediately.Last year October,gunmen also kidnapped her sister,Osiyo Agama,in Port Harcourt,but she was later rescued by security agents.One more picture below.                                                         ...
