Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Monday that he is planning a new law where vehicle horns will sound like Indian musical instruments. Speaking at the 78th Foundation Year Celebration of Navbharat Times, he mentioned that horns should be pleasant to hear and suggested sounds like flute, tabla, violin, and harmonium. Gadkari also spoke about the growing problem of air pollution, saying the transport sector is responsible for 40% of it. He added that the Modi government is encouraging the use of green and bio-fuels like methanol and ethanol to make transportation more environment-friendly. Highlighting the progress of Indiaās automobile sector, Gadkari said the industry has grown from ā¹14 lakh crore in 2014 to ā¹22 lakh crore now.
