 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

                                                    I just got a report that one SUV at Ijede this morning,lost control of the steering wheel and ran into a shop.Luckily no one was hurt because there was nobody inside of the shop apart from some goods,when the SUV lost control.My concern is the person that is driving the SUV,i hope he or she is ok?,because instead of people to check inside the SUV,i am seeing that people are more interested in snapping pictures with their phones.More updates later.More photos below.                                                                                                    ...

2 PEOPLE WERE ARRAIGNED BY THE EFCC FOR N156 MILLION FRAUD,IN OYO STATE.

                           Today the 8th of October 2015,The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission {EFCC},arraigned Adebola Adeseye Idowu and Isiah Kayode Ajisafe before a Oyo state High Court on 16 count charge bordering on conspiracy,stealing,abuse of office,and contract inflation.The accused persons are alleged to have connived and used their positions as Executive Director and Chief Accountant,respectively,to defraud their former employer,National Horticultural Research Institute,NIHORT,of various sums of money amounting to N156 million.The money was allegedly stolen by siphoning staff arrears during the implementation of 15 percent increments on consolidated emoluments and illegal deductions of 7.5% as pension fund.The accused persons were said to have pocketed N70,000,000 purported to be meal subsidy.Also the accused persons are alleged to have approved contracts beyond their limit of N50,000,000 by splitting...

MOHAMED FAHMY,EX-AL-JAZEERA JOURNALIST THAT WAS PUT BEHIND BARS IN EGYPT,IS NOW FREE.

                          Mohamed Fahmy was arrested in December 2013 with two other Al-Jazeera English colleagues Peter Greste and Baher Mohamed and sentenced to three years in prison for airing what a court described as ''False news'' and coverage biased in favour of the now banned Muslim Brotherhood.Fahmy left Cairo on tuesday for the first time since his arrest in 2013,after his name was removed from a no-fly list.He is expected to travel to Canada,where he will teach journalism at the University of British Columbia.Speaking alongside his lawyer ,Mohamed Fahmy said he owes a lot to the international community.He stayed behind bars in Egypt for more than a year.More photos below.                                                                      ...
