 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. A POPULAR IJAW MUSICIAN ''PEREAMA FREETOWN'',KIDNAPPED TODAY AT YENAGOA BY UNKNOWN GUNMEN.

                                                               According to the Nation and my sources who collaborated   this story about an hour ago and my source said a popular Ijaw musician Pereama Freetown,was today sunday abducted in Bayelsa state by unidentified gunmen.It was gathered that before kidnapping their target,the gunmen shot sporadically,killing one Ebikabowei Mbu while several others were injured.The incident occurred at about 3:00am in Polako community in Yenagoa Local government area of the state.The assailments reportedly stormed the area during a funeral wake-keep opened fire and forced people to scamper to safety.Another source said the unknown gunmen came on a speed boat through the Polako Ri.ver.One more photo below.

                   Today sunday,the streets of Apapa was packed with security men as the Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo's wife HID Awolowo was being laid to rest today at Apapa Waterside.She died about two months ago and she would have been a 100 years 25TH November 2015.She was born 25 November 1915 and i heard that Ex-Governor Ahmed Tinubu was mobbed when he arrived the venue in Apapa.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.The above picture is her body being laid in a glass coffin.More photos below.

                     Yesterday saturday the 14th of November ,my mother in red blouse Chief Mrs Kate Egbe {Nkpulunma} and other women whom have contributed immensely to the development of the Awka Development Union Lagos Branch,were conferred and awarded either as a Diamond  mother for the older generation and Golden for the younger generation.The event was organized by the women's wing of the ADU Lagos branch, at the Awka Town Hall,Apple junction,Amuwo Odofin Lagos.The event was put together by their president Mrs Ogochukwu Nwobu {Munachim} to raise money for widows and women who cannot help themselves.The occasion was under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief {Sir} Amobi Nwokafor.The occasion was graced with who is who in the Awka rich society.Just in case you missed the event and you are from Awka state capital based in Lagos and in the east.The pictures below gives you an incite of the event.More photos below.

68 PEOPLE,WERE RELEASED FROM THE GUINEA EBOLA QUARANTINE CAMP YESTERDAY

          Yesterday saturday,68 people were released from quarantine .The people were secluded after they had come into contact with an Ebola patient.The release raised hopes for the country as the last of the disease cases come to an end.According to Dr Abdourahmane Bathly,head of the Ebola centre in Forecariah in western Guinea,said 68 contacts had emerged from quarantine at midnight yesterday saturday morning.''''There are no longer any people who had contact with a person infected by the Ebola virus''.Ebola affected areas must spend 42 days without a case to be declared free of the virus,although after cases  cropped up after Liberia's first Ebola free declaration,the World Health Organisation has instituted an additional 90 day surveillance period.One more photo below.

NIGERIA UNDER 23 TEAM,ESCAPED PLANE CRASH TODAY.

                 Let us give thanks to God who spared the life of the Nigerian under 23 team as they escaped plane crash while travelling to Gambia today morning as part of preparations for the African under 23 championship billed for Senegal.The Dream Team VI opted for the West African country after the initial trip to Morocco was cancelled due to visa issues.A senior official of the team said the pilot of the Arik Aircraft made an emergency landing in Accra,Ghana, due to technical problems.''Thank God for his goodness and his mercies that we escaped a plane crash on our way to Gambia.The pilot had to make an emergency landing in Accra and we are still stranded here and we are yet to get any news from Arik officials''.One more photo below.
