PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.       The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed, on Friday, 17th May, 2019 received Juwairiyya Musa, a graduate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi who was among this year's recipients of the President's Honours Award for distinguishing herself during her National Youth Service Corps programme in Bauchi State. Juwairiyya, an English Education graduate of the University, earned the award through her Community Development S ervice (CDS) project, where she initiated and completed a health clinic for the people of Mada Village, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. 22 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS ARRESTED TODAY IN DELTA STATE BY THE EFCC.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Advance Fee Fraud Section, Abuja Headquarters in collaboration with men from the Benin Zonal Office in an operation on Friday 17, 2019 arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters during an early morning raid at Sapele, Delta State. Working on intelligence reports, the suspects, who are between the ages of 18 to 30 years, were smoked out from their hideo ut in an early morning operation. A day earlier, the operatives from Abuja had arrested two suspected internet fraudster in Ughelli, Delta State. Items recovered from the suspects include lap top computers, iPhones, phones, ATM cards and three exotic vehicles. The cars are Benz C350, Benz ML 350 and Chrysler 300.      In a move to finally resolve the soot challenge facing the state, the Rivers State Government has set up a Technical Committee to implement the recommendations of the scientific committee established to investigate the prevalence of soot.      The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has urged Nigerian students to desist from cyber crimes, popularl referred to as Yahoo -yahoo and all other forms of internet-related offences that could derail their destinies.Magu stated this on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 while delivering a lecture at the University of Ilorin on the dangers of internet fraud.      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Maiduguri Zonal Office, on Friday, May 17, 2019, secured the conviction of one Bunu Lawan Bukar (a.K.a Sani Ibrahim) before Justice Aisha B. Kumaliya of the Borno State High Court, sitting in Maiduguri, the state capital. He was sentenced to six months prison term, respectively on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N161, 000.00. Bukar  conspired with one Nass now at large and checked into a hotel and pretended to make a payment for the services rendered to them by way of mobile funds transfer to the victims account. However, during the process of making the payments to the hotel, Bukar edited a debit alert he received from his bank and showed the victim a fake alert message in order to deceive him.       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Kano Zonal Office on May 16, 2019 arraigned four staff of Kano Road Traffic Agency and a staff Primary Education before Justice Farouq Lawal of the Kano State High Court on a four-count charge conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence and forgery. The accused persons, Abduljalal Salisu Abduljalal, Nazifi Ali Chigari, Abbas Tijjani, Ado Aminu and Muhammed Imam who works in Primary school were arrested by the EFCC following intelligence the commission received, which indicated that the first and second accused were selling fake employment letters at Fine Time Park located along Race Course road Nasarawa GRA Kano. Operatives of the EFCC immediately swung into action and conducted a raid at Fine Time Park where the first accused was arrested while committing the crime, and was brought to the office along with his vehicle and the victim.
