 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. A TRIGGER HAPPY POLICEMAN,KILLED A COMMERCIAL BUS DRIVER TODAY AT OSHODI.

                                       According to sources who just sent in these story said a policeman today friday gunned down a commercial driver.The incident which occurred at about 8am today was said to have been caused by the refusal of the bus driver to give the policeman their usual ribe.It was gathered that the unidentified policeman attached to Orile Police station,had wanted to shoot the tyre of the bus but unfortunately killed the driver.The bullet hit the driver on his chest killing him instantly.Another eyewitnesses claimed that ''When he wanted to shoot the driver's tyre but the bullet hit the man on his chest and his blood covered the entire road.This made the bus drivers angry and their colleagues from Oshodi were told.The whole place became crowded with protesting bus drivers,while the policemen that did it ran into the station.Later i saw policemen from other stations,i don't know where they came from but i think they were called as reinforcement.Th

4 AFRICAN MIGRANTS DROWNED,35 MISSING AFTER A BOAT SANK,NORTH OF MOROCCO YESTERDAY.

                            According to the Spanish sea rescue services,who said four African migrants drowned and up to 35 people were missing after their boat sank in the Mediterranean in the early hours of yesterday thursday around 40 miles north of the Moroccan coast.Lifeguards pulled four bodies from the sea after they were spotted by a Colombian military helicopter helping in the search.Earlier,15 people including two women were rescued from the boat after it lost its bottom and sank.They were found clinging to the wreckage,sea rescued services said.One of those rescued said there had been 54 people in the boat..The Mediterranean between Morocco and Spain was a major route around 10 years ago for migrants from Africa trying to reach Europe,but numbers fell after Spain increased patrols.

2 TRAFFIC OFFENDERS IN LAGOS,WERE GIVEN CUTLASSES TO CUT GRASSES AROUND A COURT COMPOUND.

                    Today friday,an Ikorodu Magistrate Court in Lagos stat,sentenced two drivers to 60 hours of community service for obstructing road traffic and reckless driving on Ikorodu highway.The Magistrate Mrs A.B Olagbegi,sentenced the drivers after they had pleaded guilty to a two count charge of traffic offence.The convicts,54 year old Musiliu Akanji and 32 year old Ibukun Oyewole who reside at Ikorodu Garage area of Ikorodu,allegedly drove their vehicles recklessly on the highway without regard for other road users.The convicts were immediately given cutlasses to cut the overgrown grasses within the court premises.Earlier,the defendants counsel,Mr Adebowale Aromolaran,had pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy,saying that his client had told the court the truth.Prosecutor Mary Ajiteru had told the court that the convicts drove their buses recklessly and parked dangerously on the highway.They both committed the offences on October 29 on Ikorodu township highways
