 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. N6.2bn Fraud: Court Adjourns Jonah Jang’s Case for Judgment  Justice C.L Dabup of the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos, has adjourned the ongoing trial of a former governor of Plateau State, Senator Jonah David Jang and a former cashier in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (OSSG), Yusuf Pam, for judgment. He made the adjournment on Thursday, July 14, 2022 after the adoption of final written addresses by both the prosecution and defence counsel.  Jang and Pam are facing trial for alleged criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of Plateau State funds to the tune of N6.3 billion. At the resumed hearing of the case on Thursday, Prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, SAN, urged the court to consider the evidence of all the fourteen (14) witnesses before it, especially the evidence of Prosecution Witness 5, PW5, which supported the confessional statement of the second defendant. Jacobs submitted that the required proof is not “proof beyond all shadow of doubt”.

Press Statement  Akeredolu Reappoints Three Aides  Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN, has approved the reappointment of three aides who resigned their appointments to participate in the Primary Elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in line with the 2022 Electoral Act. The reappointment takes effect from July 1, 2022.  The three aides to the Governor reappointed are: i. Mr. Olumbe Oluleye Akinkugbe - Chairman, Ondo State Information Technology Agency (SITA) ii.
