 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                               As pictured above,President Buhari,Emir Sanusi,and Governor Amosun,were spotted in Medina Saudi Arabia on a state visit.It was reported that they all prayed together as they observed lesser Hajj.Meanwhile in Nigeria,the increase in price of pure water today thursday sparked a protest from hawkers as the sachet water rose from Ten naira to 20 naira per sachet in Benin City.The Hawkers of pure waters lamented poor sales.They said a bag of sachet water that was sold for N 1 00 per bag now sells for N 1 50 per bag.A manufacture is claiming that the hike in price is due to the fact in increase in sourcing for packing materials.The manufacturer a film roll that was sold for N600,000 last week now sells for N9200,000 while packaging material rose from N3300 to N5000.Many water factories have been cllosed due to the increase in packaging materials.From my research,we are experiencing the same increase in Lagos.More photos below,

             Yesterday wednesday the 24th of February 20 1 6 at  1 0:30pm,one Nkiru Odili,of Omelugboma,Asaba reported at the police station that 8:00am of same date,her brother identified as Emeka Odili and his girlfriend Blessing {last name unknown} took her son identified as 3 year old Chukwuneku Adikwu from Omelugbonma to Onitsha in Anambra State to sell.Luck ran against the duo as they were subsequently arrested and the child rescued.Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects had sold their own biological child earlier.Investigation is still in progress.Then on the 23rd of February,20 1 6 at 2:30pm,acting on information,police sting operatives arrested one Musa Kusa.The suspects confessed to have stolen ten cars and sold them off to receivers in Kano and Sokoto States.He also confessed that a man in Kano State supplies him with car keys.The case is also under investigation.More photos below.                                                                                

SPANISH POLICE,ARRESTED A MOROCCAN MAN TODAY FOR PROMOTING ISLAMIST MILITANCY ON SOCIAL MEDIA.

                  According to sources,Spanish police arrested a Moroccan man in Spain's north African enclave of Ceuta today,accusing him of promoting Islamist militancy via social media.The arrest comes after a joint operation by Moroccan and Spanish Police on tuesday detained four people accusing of recruiting people to fight in Syria and Iraq or carry out attacks in Spain or Morocco.Spanish police have detained  1 3 people with suspected links to Islamic State militants so far this year.Ceuta and Melilla,Spain's two north African enclaves,have been a forcus of Spanish anti-militant investigation.In 20 1 5,Spain arrested  1 02 people on the same charges,more than twice that in the previous year as police stepped up security measures after attacks in Paris.More photos below.             

BOKO HARAM MEMBERS,WHO AIMED AT CAUSING HAVOC AT THE IDP CAMP IN DIKWA,WERE KILLED BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY TODAY.

                                                                  Following dislodgement of Boko Haram terrorists camps in the border towns of Kumshe and Talala by joint operations of Nigerian and Cameroonian forces,the terrorists made a futile attempt on Dikwa early today.From all indications,the terrorists aimed at causing havoc at the Internally Displaced Persons {IDPs} camp located at Dikwa.However and unknown to the fleeing Boko Haram terrorists,the Armed Forces Special Forces in blocking positions decisively dealt with the terrorist;killing many,recovered vehicle,arms and ammunitions.Unfortunately,the Army lost a soldier and a member of the local vigilante {Civilian JTF} during the encounter,while 3 soldiers and 4 Internally Displaced Persons sustained injuries.A military vehicle was damaged by a Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Device {VBIED} suicide bomber.The troops recovered 26 bodies of the Boko Haram terrorists,while others escaped with gun shot wounds,destroyed 3 VIED,on

LAGOS STATE GOVT,COMMENCES ACTION PLAN TO CURB THE OUTBREAK OF FEBRILE RASH DISEASE.

                             The Lagos State Government has commenced action plans and initiates measures to curb and eradicate the recent outbreak of Febrile Rash disease commonly known as Measles at Otodo Gbame Community in the Etiosa Local Government Area of the State.The State Commissioner for Health,Dr.Jide Idris,who stated this at a press conference organised by the Ministry recently,said part of the measures include the notification of the Federal Ministry of Health {FMOH} and World Health Organization {WHO} and the constitution of a team of epidemiologists and other experts to investigate the outbreak,verify reported deaths and institute appropriate measures to prevent further spread of the disease.He noted that 20 children between the ages of nine months and 6 yeas had died from the outbreak,while 34 others were line listed and managed in the State Health facilities stressing that the results of laboratory investigation have confirmed Measles Virus as the cause of the disease
