PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.  LAGOS POLICE INTERCEPT DRUGS WORTH THREE MILLION NAIRA IN LAGOS Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted ten bags of illicit drugs suspected to be Indian Hemp. The drugs, packed in ten sacks, were being conveyed in a Lagos colour commercial bus with registration number LND 995 XT from Iddo to a destination in Mushin. Luck, however, ran out on the suspects when vigilant Rapid Response Squad (RRS) operatives on routine patrol stopped the bus at about 0400hrs on April 29, 2022 at Stadium Bus Stop, Surulere. While two occupants of the vehicle escaped, the driver, Amodu Agbaje, was apprehended. The arrested driver claimed he was offered Twenty-Five Thousand Naira (N25,000) to convey the drugs with street value of Three Million Naira (N3,000,000). The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fde, mnim, psc has directed the Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to transfer the suspect and the exhibits to the Command Headquarters for further investigation...

BORROWING WILL LAND NIGERIA INTO STATE OF BANKRUPTCY- PASTOR ADEBOYE.(PHOTO).

Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has said that borrowing may land the country into bankruptcy. Adeboye rued oil theft in the country, saying that the country might go bankrupt if the trend is not checked. ‘Daddy G.O,’ as his followers call him, made this known during his Sunday service sermon on Sunday. The cleric warned that the country’s debt to service revenue ratio might pose danger for decades. Pastor Adeboye noted that over 90 per cent of Nigeria’s revenue from crude oil sales is used to furnish interest accruing on debt. “We are borrowing more and according to a friend of mine, we are moving steadily towards a state of bankruptcy, a whole nation…,” the cleric said. “That is why we are going to pray so that our children and children’s children do not keep paying debt. We are still borrowing.”

Gunmen Invade Another Beer Parlour in Anambra, Kill Five It was a black Friday  in Anambra State, as Unknown Gummen invaded another beer parlour in the state and killed five persons. The incident, according to reports, happened at Ụtọ Ndụ Beer Parlour in Obiofia Village, Osumenyi, in Osumenyi, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State. An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said the unidentified gummen invaded the restaurant at about 8.pm last night and immediately opened fire on customers who were drinking and having fun there, killing five of them, including the owner of the restaurant, identified as Ụtọ Ndụ, who hailed from Amichi, which is a neighbouring to Osumenyi. EFCC Arrests 18 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Lagos Operatives of the Lagos Command of the EFCC have arrested 18 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos. The suspects are: Tijani Olumide Ahmed, Balogun Olusola, Ukuhor Richie Ifemeluona, Ologun Damilola, Adetokunbo Yusuf, Olubiyo Timilehin, Oyegoke Gafar Olaitan, Agarawu Farug Okikiola, Kazeem Oluwadamilare Adebayo and Salau Rahmon. Others are: Abdulrahman Adeshina Olasunkanmi, Rasheed Remilekun, Adeyanju Kehinde Emmanuel, Owolabi Temidayo Habeeb,Ojora Usman Olawale, Mubarak Balogun, Rafiu Olusegun and Ayobami Habeeb Oyeleye. They were arrested on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Victoria Crest Estate III, Gate II, Augusta Amadi Street, Off Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos, following intelligence reports received by the Commission about their alleged involvement in computer-related fraud.
