 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. LAGOS ASSEMBLY CALLS FOR RELOCATION OF APAPA TANK FARMS.

          The Lagos State House of Assembly has called on the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation ( NNPC) to relocate the tank farms in Apapa to a less congested area, saying that it is causing traffic logjam and endangering the livhes of the residents. Hon. Mojisola Miranda, who raised the issue under matter of urgent public importance on Thursday during plenary, said that the activities of the trailer drivers in Apapa are not only affecting traffic in the area, but that it has extended to other parts of the state. Miranda, who is representing Apapa Constituency 1 in the assembly, added that the traffic jam is making life difficult for workers and school children in the area. She urged the Assembly to invite the state's acting Commissioner for Transport and the Managing Director of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) to brief the house on how they would handle the matter.         The Acting Chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu has charged Nigerian youths to take up the grunlet and become change agents in the fight against corruption in the country. Magu who was represented by the head of the Benin Zonal office, Mailafia Yakubu, stated this today, September 21, 2017 when he addressed stakeholders at an event to mark World Peace Day celebration in Benin City.                 Lagos State Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode will next week Monday, September 25, 2017 swear-in Justice Opeyemi Oke as the Acting Chief Judge of the State.       Two sisters-in-law, who died in last month church massacre were laid to rest yesterday after a funeral service at Saint Philip's Catholic church Ozubulu, Ekwusigo LG council area Anambra State. Uchenna Obunadike, 27, and her sister in-law, Anulika Obunadike, 34, were among those killed when unknown gunmen walked into Saint Philip's Catholic church and started shooting sporadically. The Governor's Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano was present during the burial ceremonies of the victims. May their souls rest in perfect peace,Amen.
