CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State.   TROOPS NEUTRALIZE ISWAP TERRORISTS IN DIKWA, CAPTURE GUNTRUCK, ARMS,  AMMUNITION  The gallant troops of Operation HADIN KAI decisively dealt with ISWAP terrorists who attempted to infiltrate Dikwa town on Tuesday, 8 June 2021.  The terrorist elements mounted on 5 Gun Trucks, some on mortocycles and other foot soldiers tried to infiltrate the town through Gajibo axis but were met with superior fire power by troops in conjunction with air bombardment by Air Task Force.  The marauding terrorists were thoroughly vanquished forcing them to withdraw in high state of confusion abandoning their truck, guns and ammunition. During the encouter, 6 members of the terrorists groups were neutralized, several others were severely injured while the survivors withdrew in total disarray leaving behind their dead collegues. Upon recieved of the call, SEMA health team swung in to action and located the household. A House of 6 individual The Father an IDP whose right hand and left leg were Amputated The children 2, 5, 10 and 14 years all sick and bedridden The elder sister 14 ,is the breadwinner and provides food for the house by working as housemaid in the neighbourhood. SEMA health team evacuated them to specialist hospital were they recieved treatment. Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that the Lagos-Ibadan Standard Guage Railway project of the Federal Government was in tandem with the State's Transportation Master Plan, just as freight stations crisscrossing the State would provide manufacturers good platform to export their goods and services to the outside world. The Governor who stated this in an interview after inspecting the new Abeokuta Train Station at Laderin Estate with the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Ameachi, said apart from Abeokuta station, Kajola and Agbado in the state also have freight stations. Residents defied the midday downpour to receive the Governor and his team for the formal inauguration of the 6.05 kilometre-long dualised stretch, traversing Itamaga and Ewu Elepe. Construction work to start on the second phase of the project, measuring 5.9Km from Ewu Elepe to Gberigbe, which is the gateway to the Imota Rice Mill being built by the State Government in the Ikorodu Division.
