PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. I WAS NOT ARRESTED FOR LOOTING BUT INVITED BY THE EFCC TO RESPOND TO A PETITION-AKPABIO.

                     Ex-Governor Godswill Akpabio made the clarification at a news conference today tuesday in Abuja to deny media reports that he was arrested by the EFCC.He said ''I was invited by the EFCC but that was a long time ago,just before my accident and i said okay that when i am fit that i will go to see them to respond to the allegation that they said a younger lawyer wrote petition against me.So when i was chanced on friday,i went there on my own to listen to them,go through the petitions and make my response.And thereafter i was allowed to go and i was admitted on bail,i think that is in line with their procedure,so it wasn't a function of an arrest.It was a voluntary decision on my part as a law abiding citizen to go there.I heard that some youthd were very disturbed in various parts of the Niger Delta.It wasn't a problem.I feel as a law abiding citizen people write petitions against you.As a lawyer we believe in let...

LAMAR ODOM'S KIDNEYS ARE FAILING,HE MIGHT NEED URGENT TRANSPLANT.

                        A press release by the Nigerian Police Force that was captioned ''Be warned,ban on fire works in force-IGP Arase''. was posted to their official social media page and it states that ''It has come to the knowledge of the Nigeria Police Force that some Nigerians have started using fireworks and firecrackers in anticipation of the yuletide celebrations.With the present security situation,occasioned by recent bombing in parts of the country,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E.Arase,fdc,NPM,is advising Nigerians to desist from using fireworks,otherwise called ''knock out'' as the ban on it is still in force.This warning becomes crucial as there are reports that hoodlums are now using fireworks to confuse Nigerians in order to carry out their nefarious activities.Violators of this warning will be made to face the wrath of the law.Ag.ACP Olabisi Kolawole,Force Public Relations Officer,Force Headquarte...

                    The youths in Port Harcourt,are protesting today over the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,the director of Radio Biafra.The protest paralysed commercial activities as they were seen jugging towards the Government House.Kanu was arrested on Saturday at a hotel in Lagos,and he was scheduled to travel to London.Kanu's lawyer,Egechukwu Obetta said that Kanu has been granted bail,but Kanu is still being held as he is yet to fulfill his bail term of N2million and a surety in like sum,who must be a civil servant on Grade level 16.More photos below.                                                                                                               ...
