Yahaya Bello Just Approves Payment Of N30,000 Minimum Wage For Kogi Workers  Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has approved the implementation of N30,000 as minimum wage for the workers in the state. The Secretary to the State Government, Folashade Arike Ayoade disclosed this on Tuesday after an extensive meeting with the organised labour in Lokoja. She blamed the delay in the implementation on the inability for the committee to meet regularly due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has been overcome.

Man Jailed 10 Years for Land Fraud in Kaduna The Kaduna Zonal Command of the EFCC, today February 16, 2022 secured the conviction of one Hassan Shuaibu Musa before Justice M.T.M. Aliyu of the Kaduna State High Court for alleged criminal misappropriation.    He allegedly defrauded one Lawal E. FIRS DTA Fraud: EFCC Secures Interim Forfeiture of N104m Properties  The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on February 16, 2022 secured the interim forfeiture of two landed properties worth over N104m belonging to Aminu Side Garunbabba, a staff of Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS. Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, granted the order while ruling on the application by counsel to the EFCC, Ekele Iheanacho brought pursuant to Section 17 of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006. Gbajabiamila felicitates new Olubadan The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila has congratulated the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan land, Lekan Balogun, on his emergence. Gbajabiamila said the recommendation by the Olubadan-in-Council and the subsequent appointment of the Olubadan by Governor Seyi Makinde has proved that the new Olubadan deserved to ascend the throne. The speaker urged the new Olubadan to emulate his ancestors, whom he said upheld the rich tradition of Ibadan land. He said he was convinced that the new Olubadan will use his wealth of experience as a former senator and community leader of high repute to bring development and serve his people better. Constitution amendment:  Every vote must count says Gbajabiamila, as Reps test-run voting device The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, has said that the vote of every member of the House must count during the upcoming voting on bills to further amend the 1999 Constitution. "Every vote must count because it is a serious business. "Our constituents must know how we voted on issues and this will have to be open to the public", he stated.
