 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. LAGOS STATE GOVERNOR AMBODE,ISSUED 7 DAYS ULTIMATUM TO ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES OCCUPYING RENTED APARTMENTS.

                                                           According to sources,the Governor of Lagos state Akinwunmi Ambode has issued 7 days ultimatum to all government agencies occupying rented apartments outside the state Government Secretariat to vacate them and relocate to the main secretariat.Over 15 government agencies are currently outside the Government Secretariat on rented apartments where they pay millions of naira on monthly basis in the midst of scare government resources.The governor took the decision because the cost of running the agencies have become unbearable,thus,ordering them to move back to their main ministries.The order to vacate the rented apartments is contained in a circular NO.072 dated July 24,2015 and signed by the Head of Service,Mrs Folasade Jaji and directed to all head of ministries and government agencies.The Governor has directed that all affected MDAs are to commence relocation to their new offices with immediate effect from 27 July to 3rd of Augu

SUSPECTED DEBRIS FROM THE 2014 MALAYSIA MISSING AIRLINE,FOUND AT MADAGASCAR OCEAN.

                Today thursday,Malaysia Airlines said it was premature to speculate on the origin of aircraft debris that had washed up on La Reunion Island in the southern Indian Ocean east of Madagascar.No trace has been found of the MH370,a Boeing 777,which disappeared in March last year carrying 239 passengers and crew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing,in what has become one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history.The statement said Malaysia Airlines was working with authorities to determine the origin of the debris.A U.S official said air safety investigators,including a Boeing air safety investigator,had identified the component as a ''Flaperon'',from the trailing edge of a 777 wing.One more photo below.

A MAN SEGUN OMOTOLA,BROUGHT BEFORE EJIGBO MAGISTRATE COURT FOR KIDNAPPING HIS DAUGHTER TO NIGER REPUBLIC.

                       According to sources,there was drama at Ejigbo Magistrates curt after a 30 year old man arrested for stealing a 4 year old girl turned out to be the father of the girl in question in Lagos state.The police at Ejigbo division arrested Segun Omotola and charged him before the court with stealing Titilayo Omotayo Omotola.The happened after he had a quarrel with his wife,Olujoke,who abandoned the child to him and left their matrimonial home.The incident happened at 7,Tunde Bello street Ejigbo,Lagos where he resided with hid family.Omotola too the little girl to his mother in Niger Republic and came back to Lagos and continued his mechanic work.When his wife later returned to her matrimonial home and did not find the little girl,she went to the police and reported that Omotola had stolen the girl.She did not disclose to the police that Omotola was her husband.The police arrested Omotola and charged him to court with stealing under the criminal code.The real drama star

                          According to the Passport index,the Nigerian pasport is ranked 57th in the world out of 199 indexed passports.The interactive tool recently unveiled by Arton capital,a financial advisory firm which specialises in procuring multiple citizenships for its clients.The Head of Communications for Travelstart Nigeria said ''Arton Capital's assessment bodes well for Nigerians who love to travel.Currently,Nigerian passport holders enjoy visa free access countries in the world including Fiji,Dominican Republic,Madagascar,Mauritius and Kenya.Visa-free travel is extremely important because it facilitates doing business in foreign territories,and for leisure travelers it reduces the costs and administrative hassles of international travel''.The United Kingdom and United states share the highest passport power rank in the index with access to 147 countries,while Palestinian Territories,Myanmar among others have the lowest with visa free access to just 28
