PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.      Troops of the Nigerian Army (NA) continue to discharge their constitutional mandate with high sense of professionalism and responsiveness across the theatre of operations. In their unrelenting effort to clear major routes of Boko Haram criminals’ Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) for safe commuting by citizens in the North East, troops of 27 Task Force Brigade Garrison in conjunction with Explosive Ordnance Devices (EOD) Team discovered and safely detonated 3 large IEDs along Buni Gari-Kamuya Road, linking Borno and Yobe States. The IEDs were believed to have been planted by retreating Boko Haram criminals. In a similar operation, troops of 153 Task Force Battalion in conjunction with troops of 22 Brigade Garrison, Nigerian Army Special Forces and elements of Civilian Joint Task Force(CJTF) supported by Air Task Force (ATF) Operation LAFIYA DOLE encountered a pocket of Boko Haram criminals at Kerenoa, Marte LGA of Borno State.      A great effort by England in reaching the Rugby World Cup Final and congratulations to South Africa on winning a hard fought game.  But before the game started yesterday , Ahead of attending the Rugby World Cup 2019 Final in Japan, The Duke of Sussex has today visited the new Para Arena training centre in Tokyo to view training sessions including wheelchair rugby, boccia and powerlifting.   # RWC2019   # RWCFinal His Royal Highness met athletes to hear about their Tokyo 2020 Paralympics qualification preparations. The Duke also met a group of local schoolchildren, including from the Yokohama area, where Paralympics GB will be based for pre-Games tr aining. The Duke was present the last time England and South Africa met in the Rugby World Cup Final in Paris in 2007. LAGOS PRINTING CORPORATION GETS NEW GENERAL MANAGER.#PRESS RELEASE.

      Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mr. Kolawole Peregrino as the new General Manager, Lagos State Printing Corporation, replacing Mr. Sakirudeen Odusanya who was appointed in 2015. A letter signed by the Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola stated that the appointment, which has a four-year tenure, took effect from 28th October 2019. Muri-Okunola noted that the appointment took cognisance of the appointee's track record and expressed confidence that his experience stands him in good stead to expand the frontiers of the Corporation. Born on the 16th of January, 1961, Mr. Peregrino was until his present appointment the Director of XLS Concept, a training consultancy outfit. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Insurance and hails from the Lafiaji Community, Brazilian Quarters on Lagos Island.
