 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                                                              According to sources,some women in a community in Niger state,threatened officials of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria {PHCN}with charms.It came after the power company has refused to provide them with electricity supply for months,and disconnecting them anytime they want.The women tied the juju,daring PHCN officials to climb the poles.It was also gathered that while the men asked for patience to resolve the feud,the women of the community decided to protest the situation and apply diabolical means to settle the scores once and for all as they would not have any of the previous anomalies by the electricity company.More photos below.

A 26 YEAR OLD WOMAN,DROWNED YESTERDAY IN A WELL AT IJEDE,LAGOS STATE.

                      An unidentified 26 year old woman,accidentally fell and drowned in a well that is 120 feet deep at Ijede area of Lagos.Director,Lagos State Fire Service,Rasak Fadipe confirmed the tragedy,saying that the incident occurred yesterday thursday.He said the tragedy occurred at No 1,Babatunde Aina Street,Omitolo,Ijede area of Lagos.The lady was brought out of the well already dead,saying that her body was recovered by firemen in Ikorodu fire station.''A lady of about 26 years old accidentally fell and got trapped inside a well of about 120 feet deep.She was recovered dead by firemen from Ikorodu Fire Station''.

3 SIBLINGS DIED OVER NIGHT,IN THE MECHANIC VILLAGE FIRE OUTBREAK AT ISOLO LAGOS.

              According to sources,an overnight fire which razed the Mechanic Village at Oke Afa area of Isolo,Lagos,killed three siblings in their sleep.The fire was said to have broken out at midnight behind Jakande Estate,Oke Afa in Isolo while people were sleeping.There were houses and shops situated at the mechanic village and the children were sleeping in one of the houses when the fire broke in the village.Director,Lagos State Fire Service,Rasak Fadipe confirmed the fire outbreak,saying that there were many shops,houses and vehicles in the mechanic village.He disclosed that the fire incident was a tragedy as the fire roasted three siblings of the same parents in their sleep.Fadipe said the ages of the children were five,seven and 12 years but he did not supply their names.The fire service boss also disclosed that the fire consumed three vehicles,eight lockup shops and a room and palour.He further revealed that another fire outbreak was recorded around 5am today friday at Travel

THERE IS A NEW CURE FOR HIV ''PEP005'',WHICH WAS PRODUCED FOR CANCER PATIENTS.

                  According to BBC,research showed that HIV can be flushed out of its hiding places in the body using cancer drug.They said the cornerstone of treatment,anti-retroviral therapy,kills the virus in the bloodstream but leaves HIV reservoirs untouched.The study published in Plos Pathogens,showed the drug was highly potent at reactivating hidden HIV.Experts said the findings were interesting,but it was important to know if the drug was safe in patients.A strategy known as ''Kick and Kill'' is thought to be key to curing HIV.The kick would wake up the dormant HIV allowing the drugs to kill it.The team at the UC Davis School of Medicine investigated PEP005 one of the ingredients in a treatment to prevent cancer in sun damaged skin.They tested the drug in cells grown in the laboratory and in parts of the immune system taken from 13 people with HIV.The report said PEP005 is highly potent in reactivating latent HIV and that the chemical represents a new group of l
