 Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin launches satellite internet service to compete with SpaceX and Amazon  Jeff Bezos’ space company Blue Origin announced plans to deploy 5,408 satellites to create a high-speed communications network designed to compete with SpaceX and Amazon. The new network, called TeraWave, will target enterprise, government, and data center customers, offering data speeds of up to 6 terabits per second. Satellites will operate in low Earth orbit and medium Earth orbit, ranging from about 100 miles to 21,000 miles above the planet. Blue Origin expects to begin launching the constellation in the fourth quarter of 2027. The move puts Bezos in a competitive satellite internet market currently led by SpaceX’s Starlink, which operates over 9,000 satellites and serves roughly 9 million users.  Why I won't pressure my deputy to join me at APC - Bayelsa Governor, Diri Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has declared that he will not compel his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, to join him in the All Progressives Congress (APC). Diri, who officially defected to the APC on November 3 after resigning from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on October 15, made the statement during a State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House, Yenagoa, on Wednesday. His deputy, Ewhrudjakpo, was present at the meeting. The governor explained that his leadership style favors dialogue over confrontation. While acknowledging the difficulty of working with a deputy from a different political party, he said ongoing discussions between them are progressing positively.  Disney employee’s death ruled suicide, second in 10 days Authorities have ruled the third death on Walt Disney World property in 10 days a suicide. The individual, 28-year-old Matthew Cohn, died after jumping from a height at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Florida, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office. This marks the second suicide at the Contemporary Resort in just over a week. Earlier, a 31-year-old woman also took her own life at the same hotel on October 14. A third death occurred on October 21 at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, where a man in his 60s died after a medical episode. The recent incidents follow a separate case at Disneyland in California on October 8, when a woman in her 60s was found unresponsive on the Haunted Mansion ride and later pronounced dead at a hospital. Disney has not commented on the recent deaths.

 DSS Reveals Why Kaduna Social Media Activist ‘Sultan’ Was Arrested The Department of State Services (DSS) has explained the circumstances surrounding the arrest of Kaduna-based social media activist, Abubakar Muhammad, popularly known as Sultan. According to the Kaduna Command, Sultan was taken into custody on September 27, 2025, at Layin Dan-Masani, Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area, following a petition that he allegedly used fake social media accounts to harass and extort a citizen. Investigations reportedly showed that Sultan created phishing accounts with the handles @OZugwai40986 on X (formerly Twitter) and @Zugwai75 on Instagram. He was accused of using them to issue threats and demand payments through cryptocurrency and POS transactions. The complainant, who expressed fear for his life and family’s safety, also alleged that Sultan used other false accounts to lure him to an undisclosed location, raising concerns of a possible kidnap attempt.  The golden glasses of Akan chiefs.  Long before shutter shades became a thing in popular culture, chiefs of the West African tribes wore barred up lenses made from solid gold.  Their purpose wasn't for vision or sight but it was rather a social structure that symbolized the hierarchy. The meeting was to welcome new entrants into the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), but Oborevwori, who recently teamed up with the party, did not attend.  Ghanaian toddler becomes world's youngest male artist  The Guinness World Record has recognised a Ghanaian toddler, Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah as the world's youngest male artist.  Ace-Liam, a year and 5 months, was announced as the youngest male artist by the GWR on Wednesday, May 22 via its X handle.  According to his mum, Chantelle, who is also an artist, said she discovered Ace-Liam’s passion for painting when he was just 6 months old. The painting will ultimately hang in Drapers’ Hall in London.  10 year old Texas boy who admitted to killing a man while the man was asleep 2 years ago cannot be charged. On April 12th, Gonzales County Sheriff's department was called about a student at Nixon Smiley Independent School district. The principal told the deputies a 10-year-old boy had threatened to kill a student on the school bus. When the deputy arrived he got a lot more than he bargained for. School officials informed him that the student had confessed to killing a man 2 years prior. As the authorities spoke with the child, the full shocking story emerged. The boy said he was visiting  his grandfather on January 16, 2022 when he took a 9mm pistol from his grandfather's glove box. He then entered  32-year-old Brandon Rasberry's RV while he was sleeping. The boy did not know Brandon Rasberry or ever met him. The boy then shot and killed the unsuspecting victim just to do it. Two reportedly shot dead in UNIBEN suspected cult killings Two unidentified young men have been shot dead in what is suspected to be a cult killing at the University of Benin, UNIBEN, Edo State. Eyewitnesses, who spoke anonymously, said the incident occurred at about 5 p.m. on Friday. “We heard three gunshots yesterday (Friday) in different locations on the Ugbowo campus. Three students were shot, one dead, another critically hospitalized after sustaining gun injuries while the last person is nowhere to be found”, the source said. Meanwhile, UNIBEN is yet to comment on the incident officially. When DAILY POST called Edo State Police Public Relations Officer SP Chidi Nwabuzor, he said, “I am yet to be briefed on the incident.” According to Channels Television, during a visit to the Ugbowo campus of the UNIBEN, it was discovered that vehicular movement was restricted.  

The International Association of Exorcists (IAE) have branded the picture 'unreliable splatter' while claiming the title is 'pretentious'.  📮The Royal Mail have revealed their new ‘every day’ stamp featuring The King.  The image is the same as the effigy which will feature on coins: a tradition started in 1840 with the world’s first adhesive postage stamp, the Penny Black, which featured a portrait of Queen Victoria based on a design by William Wyon, Chief Engraver at the Royal Mint. The stamp will be available from 4 April.

Anthony Loffrefo, widely known as The Black Alien, is a 33-year-old man from France, known for his body transformation in order to appear like a real-life alien.  Loffredo who has a split tongue, has himself covered with tattoos, including his eyeballs, as well as multiple piercings. In addition to removing his lips, he also had a surgical “rhinotomy”⸺a mutilation, usually amputation, of the nose, performed on him; which has left him with a gaping hole in the face. In order to look more like an alien, Loffredo also had dermal implants put in his face; which gives his skin a bumpier texture.
