 Abiodun Eulogises Otegbola as Former Senator is Laid to Rest Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, described Senator Ayodeji Otegbola as a distinguished politician and a patriotic Nigerian who dedicated his life to public service and the development of Ogun State and the nation. Abiodun made the remarks at the funeral service of the late Senator Otegbola, held at the African Church St. Paul's Cathedral, Lagos East Diocese, Ilupeju, Lagos State. He said that the deceased made impactful contributions to the development of the country as a Senator and as a former chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). WHEAT FARMERS IN KANO STATE,WANTS F.G TO BAN IMPORTATION OF WHEAT.

                          Today sunday,the Kano Chairman and Deputy National President of FAN,Mr Faruk Rabi'u,made the call to the Federal Government when he spoke to News Agency of NAN today sunday in an interview.He said ''The Federal Government can use less than one quater of the money to support wheat farmers and boost the production of the commodity in the country.The ban of the importation of wheat was necessary if the government was serious on tackling the unemployment challenges,especially among the rural dwellers in the country.Our major challenges are lack of combine harvesters and ready market.Once these problems are solved,we can feed West Africa countries with commodity.More inputs should be provided to our members to encourage them to go into wheat production''.

                                                                 According to Georgia authorities who announced on friday that Nine Georgia cops have been fied in connection with the death of a 21 year old student in Savannah,Geaorgia.The sacks are related to the case of Matthew Ajibade,who died in an isolation cell on New Year's day,said Gena Bilbo,the Chatham County Sheriff's spokeswoman.Two of the nine deputies who were fired had been on paid leave.Ajibade who was from Nigeria,was arrested on January 1,after police received a phone call about a domestic disturbance.Authorities arrived and saw Ajibade holding a women under a blanket,according to an incident report,her face was bruised and her nose was bleeding.The Sheriff's office said Ajibade became combative during the booking process.His family has hired Mark O'Mark,a C...
