 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. WHEAT FARMERS IN KANO STATE,WANTS F.G TO BAN IMPORTATION OF WHEAT.

                          Today sunday,the Kano Chairman and Deputy National President of FAN,Mr Faruk Rabi'u,made the call to the Federal Government when he spoke to News Agency of NAN today sunday in an interview.He said ''The Federal Government can use less than one quater of the money to support wheat farmers and boost the production of the commodity in the country.The ban of the importation of wheat was necessary if the government was serious on tackling the unemployment challenges,especially among the rural dwellers in the country.Our major challenges are lack of combine harvesters and ready market.Once these problems are solved,we can feed West Africa countries with commodity.More inputs should be provided to our members to encourage them to go into wheat production''.

9 GEORGIA COPS,FIRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE DEATH OF A NIGERIAN STUDENT,MATTHEW AJIBADE.

                                                                 According to Georgia authorities who announced on friday that Nine Georgia cops have been fied in connection with the death of a 21 year old student in Savannah,Geaorgia.The sacks are related to the case of Matthew Ajibade,who died in an isolation cell on New Year's day,said Gena Bilbo,the Chatham County Sheriff's spokeswoman.Two of the nine deputies who were fired had been on paid leave.Ajibade who was from Nigeria,was arrested on January 1,after police received a phone call about a domestic disturbance.Authorities arrived and saw Ajibade holding a women under a blanket,according to an incident report,her face was bruised and her nose was bleeding.The Sheriff's office said Ajibade became combative during the booking process.His family has hired Mark O'Mark,a C...
