President Tinubu meets Labour leaders over proposed protest: President Bola Ahmed Tinubu met with the leadership of the NLC, along with the chairman of Progressive Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma,  Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo and Governor of Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris and the Minister of State Labour, Honorable Nkeiruka Onyejeocha. The chairman of the NLC,Comrade Joe Ajaero led the Labour leaders to the meeting on Tuesday night at the State House, Abuja. ACCORDING TO ANOTHER SOURCE: President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday night held a meeting with the leaders of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) as part of last-minute efforts to stop plans by the Labour union to embark on a strike action over the growing insecurity across the country. Last week, the congress declared a nationwide protest for December 17 over the “degenerating security situation” across the country.               It is so disappointing,how Rivers state is now becoming a zone of wars against parties/police shooting directly to civilians,rubber or silver bullet,it is wrong,if it is a peaceful rally.The River State chapter of Nigeria All Progressive Congress {APC} has reported the shooting this morning by the police of senator Magnus Abe,the senator representing Rivers south east zone and chairman of the senate committee on petroleum {down stream} and Chief Tony Okocha,the chief of staff to governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.The party also reported the killing of five youngsters by the police at the rally of the party at college of Arts and science in Port Harcourt,along with the arrest of Ike Chinwo,a member of the Federal House Representatives representing Obio Akpor Federal constituency.The rally was already in progress when police men from MOPOL 19 stormed the venue and started shooting rubber bullets and teargas to disperse the crowd.One of the ru...
