 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. MR IBU DEBUNK REPORTS SAYING THAT HIS DOWN WITH STROKE.{PHOTOS}.

      Comic actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, has debunked rumors that he is down with stroke. This evening, rumors were rife on social media that the actor has been bedridden for a while because he was battling with stroke. This evening he released a video in which he appeared healthy and rubbished the report. He said ''People are saying that I have stroke, that I am down with stroke. Why? How can you announce somebody's and you have many and you haven't announced yours? I don't have any stroke please''. Watch the video below

JUSTICE ONNOGHEN RESIGNS AS CHIEF JUSTICE OF NIGERIA {CJN}.

       Justice Onnoghen reportedly sent his resignation letter to the president on Thursday, barely 24 hours after the national judicial council concluded investigation on various allegations of misconduct levelled against him. However, there has been no official statement from the presidency on the matter yet. The embattled CJN is standing trial at the code of conduct tribunal on a six-count of alleged failure to declare his assets to the code of conduct bureau. He has however denied the allegations. According to NAN The  News Agency of Nigeria  reliably gathered that Onnoghen’s resignation letter was submitted to the Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, by some Justices of the apex court. NAN , however, learnt that the Justices who submitted the letter arrived at the presidential villa a few minutes after President Muhammadu Buhari had left Abuja for Jordan to participate in the World Economic Forum on Thursday.

POLICE DISMISS SERGEANT FOR SHOOTING KOLADE JOHNSON TO DEAD.{PHOTO}.

       One of the two police officers put on Orderly Room Trial over the death of a football fan, Kolade Johnson in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria has been found guilty and summarily dismissed from the Nigeria Police Force. Inspector Ogunyemi Olalekan (on the right in the photo) was found guilty of discreditable conduct by acting in a manner prejudicial to discipline and unbecoming of members of the Force by shoo ting and killing Kolade Johnson. He was also found guilty of unlawful and unnecessary exercise of authority by using unnecessary violence, by using AK 47 rifle on the deceased in total neglect to the provisions of Force Order 237 on the use of Firearms. MediaDimensions gathered that Inspector Olalekan has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Lagos State Police Command, Panti for prosecution in the conventional court. IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni, today, 4th April, 2019 decorated the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba with his new rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police. Other Officers decorated by the IGP include ACP Igbafe Afegbai, 2iC Federal Inland Revenue Service {FIRS} and SP Atiku Ibrahim, Personal Assistant {P.A} to the IGP. LAGOS ISSUES SMART IDENTIFICATION CARDS TO RETIREES.#PRESS RELEASE.

      The Lagos State Government has recorded another first in Pension Scheme Administration in Nigeria by being the first State Government to issue Electronic Identity Cards to retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme. The Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson-Oke, who spoke during the 61st edition of Retirement Benefit Bond Certificate Presentation Ceremony, assured the retirees that  aside from being a means of identification, the innovation will give them access to social welfare benefits in furtherance of government's commitment to their wellbeing. At the event held in NECA House, CBD Alausa, 146 Public Service retirees received accrued pension rights totalling N1.1billion Naira which was paid into their Retirement Savings Account.       Woman In Tears As Fr. Mbaka Splashes N3.5 Million After Giving Birth To Quadruplets. The founder of Adoration Ministry in Enugu state, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, brought joy to a family who recently welcomed a set of quadruplets. Rev. Mbaka visited a member of his ministry who gave birth to the lovely four babies and took care of the hospital bill of 1.5million naira. The cleric also donated the sum of N2 million to the woman’s husband to support his business.More photos below.
