                              The EFCC has arraigned the duo of James Edwin Ehiaghe and Aimienmwona Osahon before Justice O.O Tokode of the Federal High Court Benin,Edo State on four counts bordering on ATM fraud,forgery,Impersonation,conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence; possession of scam documents contrary to section 1,2 and 6 of the Advance Fee Fraud and other Related Offences Act,2006.Ehiaghe and Osahon are alleged to belong to a syndicate of fraudsters who specialize in defrauding their victims through text messages.They were separately charged with two counts each by the Commission.According to the complainant,on 18th January 2016,she received an SMS on her MTN line purported to have emanated from Central Bank of Nigeria's Customer Care Department,claiming that her ATM card will be deactivated unless she called 'CBN Customer Care Phone Number 01342233' to update her bank details.Operatives of t...

                  on the 8 of July 2016 evening,but reported today monday,remnants of Boko Haram terrorists in their numbers attacked our troops location at Rann,Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State.The terrrists came with Motorcycles Borne Improvised Explosive Devices {MCBIED},Anti-Aircraft Guns and other weapons at about 5:00pm and the exchange of fire lasted for some hours before they were overwhelmed by the troops firepower.Unfortunately,one of the terrorists suicide bomber detonated himself at a gun truck killing the driver and the gunner.The truck and the mounted weapon were also damaged beyond repairs.In addition 2 soldiers were wounded in action while 3 others sustained minor injuries.The troops killed 7 of the attackers instantly while quite a number escaped with gun hot wounds.During clearance operations this morning,the troops discovered 9 more Boko Haram terrorists dead bodies in the surrounding areas.Therefore the tota...

                  An experimental solar-powered plane is seen heading to Egypt on the last leg of its round-the-world trip.The Solar Impulse-2 touched down in Spain,after an unprecedented three-day flight across the Atlantic from New York.It's the first time a solar-powered plane had made such a journey using zero fuel and zero emissions.The aircraft's wings are wider than those of Boeing 7-4-7 and are equipped with 17 thousand solar cells,which power the propellers and charge batteries.At night the plane operates on stored energy.The round-the world trip began in March 2015 in the United Arab Emirates.More photos below.                                                                                             ...

                         The Nigerian refugee who was beaten to death in Italy has been laid to rest.Hundreds of people,including several Italian dignitaries,attended Emmanuel Chidi's funeral in the town of Fermo.The 36 year old was murdered last week,in an allegedly racit-motivated attack.Chidi had apparently tried to defend his wife,who had been insulted by a local football fan.He was so badly beaten that he fell into a coma,and died in the hospital.Nnamdi Emmanuel Chidi and his wife Chinyere who applied for asylum in 2015 against Boko Haram,was beaten to death on tuesday by Amedeo Mancini,a local farmer,a man that had been banned from public sporting events for violent behaviour.The couple was walking near the seminary where they lived and 35 year old Mancini,sitting on a bench by the street with a friend,started shouting racist insults and called Chinyere an ''African Monkey''.Apart from Nnadi who was beaten to death,h...
