 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. 18 YEAR OLD MAN WAS STONED TO DEATH BY SOMALIA'S AL SHABAAB MILITANTS FOR RAPING A 28 YEAR OLD WOMAN.

             According to sources,Somalia's al Shabaab militants said today wednesday that they had stoned an 18 year old man to death for raping a woman at gun point in one of their strong holds in the Southern lower Shabelle region.The group which pledges loyalty to al Qaeda,has been losing territory in an offensive battle by African and Somali troops,but has been determined to demonstrate its authority over areas it still controls.Al Shabaab said the man raped a 28 years old woman at gun point in the outskirts of her village three days before he was killed on tuesday.Sheikh Mohammed Abu Abdalla,who claimed to be al Shabaab governor for the region said ''This shows we have the power to sentence anyone who breaks Islamic law''.More photos below.
