PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.       The Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, COWLSO, has donated 32 neo-natal incubators to 13 government hospitals, and six birthing suites to Lagos Island Maternity, Amuwo Maternal and Child Centre, as well as Epe General Hospital. Chairman of COWLSO and wife of the governor of Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode, who led the committee’s project team on inspection and handing-over of the items, noted  that their vision for pregnant women in the State is to grant access to world-class delivery facilities in public hospitals.        The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has called on officials in the financial institutions in the country to be wary of “dubious individuals or groups within and outside their establishments”, who abuse both the whistle-blowing policy of the Federal Government as well as the Post No Debit, PND, Order in the sector. He said there were stro ng indications that some banks officials divulge information on high-net-worth accounts to their accomplices, who in turn obtain a purported PND order to fleece unsuspecting customers. Magu gave the warning during a meeting with Chief Compliance Officers of Banks in Lagos on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.       The Lagos State Government has urged members of the public to disregard social media messages soliciting financial support for a mother and her twin children rescued by officials of the State government during a monitoring exercise along LASU Road, Igando. Lagos. Speaking at a Press Conference in Alausa, Ikeja, the State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Agboola Dabiri described the people behind the solicitation, which had gone viral, as fraudsters whose aim is to scam kind-hearted Lagosians to enrich themselves. 5 NIGERIANS ARRESTED IN DUBAI AFTER THEY ROBBED A MONEY EXCHANGE PLACE AND STOLE DH2.3 MILLION.{PHOTO}.

      Five Nigerians, who allegedly stormed a money exchange in Sharjah and fled with Dh2.3 million, have been arrested, the police said on Sunday. According to the police, the men barged into the exchange and smashed the glass barrier between the customers and the staff, stole the money in multiple currencies and fled. Two employees at the exchange were injured as they resisted the robbers. One of them managed to notify the police. The Sharjah Police coordinated with forces from Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman to nab the suspects from four emirates within 48 hours after the robbery was committed.  The incident was reported at Al Ansari Exchange in Al Tawoon area. The NA under the leadership of Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai will not contemplate interfering under any guise in the internal Executive - Judiciary Conflict in Kogi State or any other State for that matter. The Army Headquarters has already directed and warned the Commander in the State to stay clear of this conflict (not to interfere under any guise).
