 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. 4 DEAD AFTER BURUNDI GENERAL ''NIYONGABO'',SURVIVED AN ASSASSINATION ATTACK TODAY.

                  Today friday,General Prime Niyongabo,survived an assassination attack early today morning but three soldiers and three gunmen were killed.Niyongabo who is the highest ranking official to be targeted was ambushed by unknown gunmen but God spared his life.Earlier this week,gunmenshot dead an opposition official and last month General Adolphe Nshimirimana,who was in charge of the president's personal security,was killed in an ambushed.All these assassination attempt started when President Pierre Nkurunziza announced he was seeking a third term in office,in which the opposition said his third term in office violated the Burundi constitution and a peace deal that ended an ethnically charged civil war in 2005.

2 NYSC RELEASED,AFTER BEING ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH A ROBBERY IN NIGER STATE.

                   Today friday,the Management of the National Youth Service Corps {NYSC} said in a statement in Abuja that it findings revealed that the accusation leveled against the trio was based only on circumstantial evidence.The attention of the management was drawn to a newspaper publications that reported that three corps members were held by police in Niger over alleged armed robbery.The newspaper had reported that the corps members were in police custody following allegations of robbing a shop owner in Suleja.According to the statement,two of the accused corps members have since been released while the process of securing the release of the third is on going.It said that the office of the Secretary to the Government and the Ministry of Youth Development had lent its support to the matter.The assured the public,particularly parents and guardians,that no corps member would be allowed to suffer unduly especially over cases of mis...

                 The victim Tope Ogundeyi as seen in the picture above,was stolen from their church,a Cherubim and Seraphim church located at IIufunmi street,Ejigbo on the 1st of September 2015.The Pastor Michael Balogun and other leaders were in the church when the incident happened.The father of the victim Olumide Ogundeyi said that he came from Ogun state to the church for deliverance prayers because he was sick and his family was facing many challenges.He said that after the prayers,they slept inside the church auditorium as directed by the prophet with four of his children and wife.The doors and windows of the church auditorium were locked after their midnight prayers before they slept.By the time he woke up at about 5a.m,he did not see Tope where she was lying with two other of his children and did not see his three handsets where he kept them.He raised the alarm which attracted other church members and they immediately started searchin...

A BOMB EXPLODED AT THE INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS CAMP,IN ADAMAWA STATE TODAY.

                       Today friday,a bomb hit a Nigerian Internally displaced Persons {IDP} camp in the outskirts of Adamawa state capital Yola.According to a spokesperson with the National Emergency Managemnt Agency said the bomb blast which is the first such attack on any IDP camp in Nigeria,went off at an IDP camp in a school in the village of Malkohi.It is not known yet who the perpetrators of the attack are but all fingers points to the Islamist group,Boko Haram.Three people have now been confirmed to be dead.
